Draining My Hose (Minds Out of the Gutter, Please)
Okay folks, this is for all users of the Turbo Sanicon system. I personally love the speed and convenience of this system but really dislike the final step of "walking" the hose 3 or 4 times to drain all of the "liquid" out prior to storing. I understand the cause of the trapped contents is due to a vacuum lock. Even with the grey water valve left open it does not break the vacuum lock, so I tried to come up with a reasonable solution. Below is what I came up with. So far it is working well but have only used after dumping three times.
1. Dump tanks as usual
2. Close all tank valves
3. Open valve at the end of the small hose
4. Walk hose once to completely drain
5. Close valve before storing hose. Failure to complete this step could result in an unpleasant shower of poo the next time you dump.
Here are the photos from start to finish. I'm sure some of you engineering types could come up with a fancier setup but this is what my primitive mind came up with. If anyone is interested in details, I can add them.

Hey Mallory, good idea. Anything to break the vacuum is much better than nothing.

Thanks Chuck. I may be the only one that is bothered by this but I wanted to post it anyway just in case others are as weird as me.

Your idea is a good one. Thanks for sharing it.
I have found that the easiest way to release the vacuum lock on the sanicon hose is to simply reach into the sanicon hose box, disconnect the cam-lock connector, and remove the male end of the hose and then fully drain the sanicon hose. No vacuum and the hose drains quickly. When done, simply re-insert the male sanicon hose into the female connector and reset the locks.

Mallory, here is what we do..
http://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/ente...ns-323159.html
We have virtually zero waste water dripping out, maybe 3-4 droplets.
Been using this system for just over 2 years without any issue.

Mallory, let’s try this..
..since these were taken, I’ve made a few small changes. One change is that the length of PVC to the side of the coach is supported, and now has a shutoff valve.
Overall, this is a very tidy setup. The green garden hose is where all waste water exits.
One note, the first image is where I penetrated the wet bay floor, behind the hose reel and to the right of the Macerator.
I hope this helps.
