Draining the tank

I've been working on sanitizing the fresh tank. The only drain I could find is the one in the utility bay coming straight out of the fresh tank....looks like a 1/2 inch tube...takes almost 90 minutes to drain the tank when full. I have faucets turned on and cold and hot values open....but it is so slow.....am I missing something? Is there another valve somewhere that should be opened? Takes less than 15 minutes to fill.

I wish there was. Only answer I can think of is DIY mod with home depot plumbing parts.

I have the same thing on my Tiffin. What I do is open the low point cold water drain and turn on the water pump. That turns 90 minutes into 15 minutes and is a big help. Once it sucks air I shut it off and open the fresh tank drain valve to get the last few gallons out.

I did mine recently and I believe there were three valves that I needed to turn. Then turn pump on and let water pump out through the drain valves. Cant remember it being that long.

Same problem, no big deal for me. When coming home, we don't carry extra water. Even when we have, I just open the drain and take care of it tomorrow. I've learned not to get in a hurry

You can use the water pump and pump it out of the fresh water tank, or let gravity do it's job.

I did it the 2nd way, the day prior to sanitizing..
