Drip rail downspout extensions

Has anyone put extensions on their driprail downspouts?

I'm getting drips running down the coach causing that hard to remove staining on my paint. It's really hard to get off.

Do the downspout extensions make a difference? How do they install?

Pat

Put them on three years ago made a big difference in the streaks.

Pat these are available in black or white. https://www.amazon.com/Camco-42452-B...ter+extensions

They will do what you need done. They just snap into place. On the TS I bought the white ones and spayed them with auto spray paint to match the silver color. On the Entegra the black ones look fine.

Walmart has the whites one, but I've never seen the black ones there. If you want to paint to match, any of the auto parts have auto spray paint, if one of the colors match your paint scheme better. You will also need a can of clear coat.

Mine snapped on and fit perfect. Better than the old ones I had on the TS. But that is on a Classic.

FYI an 90/10 water to solution of Totally Awesome cleaner will remove those nasty streaks with little effort. Just make sure it's 90/10 or it may remove the wax too

Awesome Cleaner ($ Store) is the best cleaner I have ever used. Full strength it will remove rust spots from the driveway, decrease an engine and clean the outside of the radiator. Spraying it on the tires...pressure wash it off, they look brand new. It is our #1 cleaner on the MH, a spray bottle inside and outside of the MH. Amazing spot remover for laundry too. I can't believe they can sell that for a dollar as well as it works....puts Simple Green to shame.

Gutter drain spouts

Pat,

I initially had them installed at Precision Paint and the paint on all them continued to peel off. I re-sprayed them and the cycle continued. The correct answer was from Entegra. They replaced all 4 this past November with one's that are black molded plastic, so there is no paint to peel in the future. $1.83 per drain spout. Case closed!

Ron.

My experience with Precision as well. Paint would not stick on the MH and had to be repainted in several areas.

I painted my own down spouts on the previous MH and the paint was fine 11 years later. Go figure. I wonder if proper prep has anything to do with it? Sand, clean, prime then paint.

We have them on all four corners of our coach. While they do make a big improvement, they don't eliminate the water from running down the side completely. Chuck

Certainly proper prep is key but certain plastics(particularly flexible ones) are notoriously difficult to get paint to stick to. In those cases you have to use an adhesion promoter primer like:
