Driver side window area rattle question

Looking for a possible answer where a deep sounding rattle in the driver side above the window area might be.

So far I have changed all of the shade mounting screw to wood screws. The two fronts were missing and I though for sure that was in...nope. Pushed on the shades while it's rattling with no change. Hoping someone may have run into the problem that is driving me nuts.

One forum member found loose screws on the valance (wood). You might try that.

I am on my way up now and going to tighten everything in the area that a square bit will fit into. Thanks for the valance idea.

We too had a loose screw on the left side of the wooden valance behind the driver's seat.

Are your circuit breaker boxes above that window - could it be related to that?

Could be a Romex line from the breaker panels that is loose and rattling against the woodwork. I've had lots of that in the front overhead of our Allegro Bus. Pulling the TV out and going at it with a stack of nylon cable ties took care of that.

Then again, I've been known to have a loose screw myself.

Chuck, have you tried all of the fixes in this manual from the Entegra Owner's portion of the web site? I have a few sounds in that area, too, but I have yet to try these suggestions.

I tried everyone's suggestions...thank you... except Marks. Good idea Mark, that is right in the area the noise is and if the road test does not show it is corrected, that will be next.

I tried to road test it, but traffic was terrible today, I think the snowbirds are arriving early.

Robert good info! I am going to load that on my tablet and take it with me and go over all of those areas. Thank you. Where did you find that photo manual?

I found it right on the Entegra web site. Under "Manuals" after you enter the "Owner's Area" - which is one of the 4 tabs in the upper right quadrant of the home page for Entegra. Once you are in the manuals area, choose your coach and year - the document that I attached earlier was for a 2014 Anthem. I find that many of these guides are very useful. Some are relevant, some not so applicable.

My advice is to phone CS. They'll make sure your VIN will work. The same thing happened to me. Curiously, when I bought our Anthem, the VIN number worked, but did not directly after delivery. I phoned, and it was all fixed up fairly quickly.

Robert, I think the manual you posted on page 15 found my missing link. There is another valance "L" bracket up behind the shades and that is right where the rattle is. The only way to get to it is to remove the shade bracket. That would explain why everything I have tighten and re-tighten has not worked. Even pushing up on the shades does not change the rattle. Thank you so much for that post. Hopefully that ends the frustration.

We had a similar issue and found that the rubber bumpers in the cabinet doors (breaker panel) were missing and it was rubbing wood in wood. Replaced them and all is well. So undo too simple huh?!
