Have you checked that the input on the TV is set to receive from the DVD player?

Does the DVD play have power? When our Anthem was delivered the DVD player was DOA. If you were able to open the drawer, it has power.

Samsung Blu-ray/DVD players link though the HDMi cable so that when you load a disc and press play, the TV goes to the correct input. If this isn't happening, I would look at the HDMi cable between the player and TV. HDMi cables, especially cheap ones, have very fragile ends. They can easily come apart in a mobile environment.
Start your troubleshoot by confirming your TV is on the right input for the DVD player. If you still do not have signal, check that the cables are connected to the DVD and TV. Past that would require that the cable, DVD output, TV input be tested to determine what isn't working.

Of course, I just assumed your system uses HDMi cables for hook-up. If it uses composite or component cabling, troubleshooting procedures are slightly different and the sync feature between DVD and TV doesn't exist.

In addition to what Joe said, there is a central HDMI connection hub in the basement where all of the HDMI cables go through a power splitter. I have read, that it is easy for one of the HDMI cables to get knocked loose loading the basement. The hub is right behind the basement freezer area mounted on the basement ceiling. After seeing mine, I can see where it would be easy for one of those cables to come loose.

That means you do have a signal from the DVD player to the TV, right? Is that the language screen of the DVD movie? Is the DVD clean? Wipe it with a soft cloth like a t shirt. Have you tried another DVD?

Hi Brobox, DW says the DVD player isn't working either in bedroom. Door opens to put in DVD but can't go any further.

I guess I am a little confused. You mentioned you had a language screen you couldn't get to go away. What language screen was that?

Are you saying both DVD players are not working? Have you followed the start up instructions in the owners manual?
