ECM or Network Issue?
Here's my story.
At delivery we had a check engine light the dealer was not qualified to fix. They contacted Entegra, we got a code dump and determined it was an air pre-heater error and not harmful to drive with. So we left Orlando for Texas and while we had the check engine light for the entire trip, we had no other issues. We got back to Texas, parked the coach and did not move it again until last week.
Last week we went to the FMCA Shreveport Rally with an appointment at Cummins in Houston to get the problem serviced. Again we had no issue on the trip except for the constant check engine light.
On Monday we got to Cummins and after some diagnosis they attempted to calibrate (flash) the ECM. It failed and created a whole new set of problems where virtually everything on the dash now goes nuts. Gauges turn on and off, alarms randomly go off, the engine brake stopped working and the screeching alarm won't stop. Of course we turned around and went back to the Cummins center.
They were advised by Spartan to replace he ECU. They did and it reacted exactly like the original one did with all the dash going crazy.
So here we sit, day number 4 at Cummins and no further along.
Has anyone experienced anything like this?
