Reach out to the hospital and the base for help, suggestions on parking. Traffic is horrible so try to get closer than HMB.

I can assure you, Stanford is a great place to place your trust.

Many hospitals now have RV parking complete with hookups. The hospital I was in last summer has them and some of the Oklahoma City hospitals do that I know of for sure. Can't hurt to ask.

RV parking is available in the Quarry lot adjacent to the Hoover Garage at 217 Quarry Rd. Passes are sold for a maximum of five business days at $5 per day and can be purchased at the security office

Another suggestion, use the Gas Buddy App to plan economical fuel stops, making sure your tank is full before entering California. Still holding good thoughts for you

Hi Jeff& Terri... first our prayers are with your family. My wife & I experienced a similar incident four years ago. My brother in law was in a coma for six weeks, two weeks in critical care& two months in a rehabilitation center(Harborview hosp. ; Seattle). We travelled from CA. to Seattle & stayed in our MH for four months in Kent, Wa. 35 minutes to the hospital. Frankly, I don't know what we would've done without our coach, the expense would've been prohibitive. As for your travel, I've done some research & pray it is helpful. I agree with "Coachmanjay" travel route to the point of I-5 north of Bakersfield... continue north on I-5 to SR 152(near Los Banos) go east on SR 152 to Gilroy to Hwy. 101 North to San Jose. There are not a lot of RV parks in the area, close to Stanford.. I called "Coyote Valley RV resort, San Jose 408-463-8400, rated 10/10/9.5 Good Sam. 40-45 minute drive to Stanford ( long, but again,, not a lot to choose from). Address 9750 Monterey Rd. ; San Jose.. off the 101 fwy. I trust you find this helpful, travel mercies, & may God totally heal your son.. call me if you have questions.. Danny 559-381-6000... Was reading through the thread and thinking the same - to contact the hospital to see what they may have available.

Thinking good thoughts for a positive outcome for your son.
