We will be using directv as that is what we have at home - just move the receivers to the coach. The problem with domes is that they don't work real good in the rain or if they are covered in dew. A Winegard Trav'ler is a dish that allows you to get SD and HD channels pretty much regardless of weather conditions. I have, however, been in heavy lightning storms and had no coverage. The dish folds up during travel and when you are parked, you push a button, it unfolds and then automatically finds the satellites.

Billy, NO, you do not have to use Direct TV, we have Dish network on our Anthem and for a dome it works pretty good, not nearly as good as the Winegard Traveler but not terrible.

Winegard Travler

Winegard SK-1000 TRAVLER Automatic Multi-Satellite DISH Network Dish (SK-1000)

Model: SK-1000

Search - traveler satellite dish - Camping World

Here is the website for it at Camping World which is where I think Lazydays purchases it from and then installs it. (We wouldn't try installation ourselves)

Hope this helps. We love this satellite dish and you can get one for Direct tv if that is your preference.

Our Aspire came preprogrammed for directv with the winegard in motion dome satellite receiver (hated it) but you can join dish and program them for dish. We had to purchase the dish receiver (box inside the coach) to go along with our Dish traveler Satellite Dish (on top of the roof)
