Entegra Anthem Alarm
Can anyone tell me is the alarm activated when the coach is locked with the keypad at the door? What will set the alarm off? We have been told that our alarm has been going off while we are away. Has anyone else experienced this? We have a 2013 Anthem.
thanks

At least for us, the answer is yes, the alarm is activated when we use the keypad to lock the coach. No one has told us that it went off while we're out.
We have had the alarm go off when I locked the door using the keypad and then the DW unlocked the door manually and lifted up on the latch from inside the coach (I went out to jog and she was still in bed).
Since then, she uses bedroom auto lock and release.

Yes, I have had the same problem. If you lock the door switch the key the alarm is NOT armed and will not go off. There are two sensitivity adjustments on the alarm. One on the passenger side front in the console beside the copilot seat. Remove the cup holder and you can see it, a small black box with two wires and a small knob. Turn the knob to adjust the sensitivity it unplug it to disable it. The other us in the back of the coach, exact placement depends on model. Wherever it is there will be a small black screen about the size of a dime, that is the sensor, follow the wire back to the box and adjust or disable the same as the front. If you arm it from the bedroom, you have to disarm it from the bedroom panel before opening the door or the alarm will go off. Don't ask how I know all of this, the neighbors in the campground will fill you on.

On our unit, if we arm it from the bedroom we can disarm from the bedroom OR from the fob without triggering the alarm. Not sure which was worst....learning the alarm or accidently leaving the air on with the auto genstart on when we left the coach for a few weeks. They were really happy about that....

Linda or Rick, you are absolutely right, the key fob CAN be used to arm or disarm the system. I was posting from my iPhone and took a shortcut, sorry.

We don't bother to set the alarm when we are away and leave the dogs in the coach. We figure anyone crazy enough to break in will be ALARMED to find two big German shepherds with shiny white teeth just waiting to greet them!

Do the dogs come with a sensitivity adjustment as well to increase or decrease their response time

Another alarm question-when leaving the coach (with the dogs), setting the alarm also locks the cargo doors. When returning, we turn off the alarm with the keypad. The door unlocks but the cargo doors don't. I have to use the key fob to unlock them. Is this the way it works?

Fur us...yep...don't know if there is a different way to set 'em up.
Of course I just love getting back in the coach to hit the FOB release, after the normal false start to open cargo doors. That extra exercise (and sometimes head thump) makes my day

After you enter your code, press 1-2 to unlock door only, press 7-8 to unlock door AND storage bays.
