Those that are full timing have been covered by the 2 year warranty with no issues.

I'm now at 22,000+ miles and am getting 8.6 mpg over the last 3 months.

We do not full time but we travel for 2-3 months at a time several times per year. The Aspire has everything we need without the significant extra cost for things we would seldom use. The bath and a half, the washer and dryer, the king bed, and 3 AC units have made all the difference in the world for us. The size, at 42 feet, has not been an issue with parks and driving. Over the years we have had a variety of minor repairs, however far less than our previous coaches. You have to expect some problems since a traveling motor home is a 65mph rolling earthquake!

Flanz,

The Aspire may be a bit more friendly for boondocking, as previously stated, but you will improve your experience a bit if you upgrade to AGM batteries....and recommend you go to 660 amp/hours. I tend to push my 4 flooded-cell batteries rather hard with all the extra transformers....computer, tablets and smartphones, rechargeable vac, drill power pack, etc. each one draws power all the time you have it plugged in....even if it's not charging anything....it's still drawing power.

We have 22K miles and are happy with our Aspire. It gets the job done quite nicely.

Rather than start a new thread, and the question is specific to the Aspire....

Has anyone added additional batteries to the Aspire? If so, what brand, voltage, and where? The four wet cell house batteries are on the weak side and I plan on switching to AGM and would like to add at least two more, maybe four. I also would like to eventually add solar panels, but that project is outside my comfort zone.

Photos appreciated!

Pat- this may be my lack of experience in these things, but in addition to switching to AGM's did you add another inverter to the coach?
I think switching to AGM's would be one of the first things we do. After that, not sure what additional support might be needed to run all the stuff I may carry that needs power.

Pat I went to the 400 AH Lifeline batteries which are 90 lbs each for a total of 360 lbs. Seems to me that's about the max weight for the battery compartment slide tray.

Has anyone here gone with bigger than 400 AH?

Huge difference with the AGM's, would never go back to flooded batteries. Much more capacity and the best part is no more corrosion in the battery compartment.
