Entegra Aspire switch wiring

Maybe I'm all wrong but I think my dash console switches (left side of driver seat) are incorrectly wired. My previous RV had these Carling Contura rocker switches also. If you turned on a docking light, or exhaust brake the small indicator light would light up. If it was dark, and you turn on the running lights, then the lighted switch label should be illuminated. That is how most cars, airplanes, and boats work. My rocker switches only indicate on (light the small bar) when the running lights are on. During the daylight I have turned on the docking lights for example or security lights, many times without realizing a switch was on. Anbody else wired like this? Doesn't seem right.

Same on 2011. And the dogs love to turn on docking lights.

We had to bring our new 2013 Aspire to Middlebury to fix a major heating problem and had a punch list of other items as well - this was one of them.

It is hard to tell which switches are on/off at a glance. Since our cats like to walk on them it would be nice to have a working "ON" indicator.

We were told by CS that the lack of the "ON" indicator light on most of the switches is "normal". On our Aspire, the only one that works as expected is the "Main Battery" switch. Also, as I recall (our coach is still in Middlebury), the dash running light switches behave the same way.

I agree this should be otherwise - our previous coach had these indicator lights enabled and it was no where near the same price point as the Entegra.

The backligthing for all of these switches on our coach comes on when the running and/or headlight are on. However the "ON" indicator strip never lights regardless if the running lights are on or off - so that's a bit different than what you described.

I'm hoping the switches actually have the "ON" LED indicator installed and the factory just chose not to utilize them. If so, the fix is probably just a simple jumper wire. I have suggested this improvement to Entegra. When we get our coach back it is on my list of things to investigate.
