Entegra Coach University (Owner Training)
Just left the 2018 Homecoming and it was a 10+, picked up my 2018 44W Aspire last Friday so the timing for us was perfect. I just logged into the ECOA web page and see the Entegra Coach University (Owner Training) is booked for the next 6 months. What is it and is it worth perusing?

I have not attended. I have heard three groups of opinions: 1.) Some think it is amazing and a great experience where they learned a lot, 2.) Some think that it is a lot of technical stuff that might be appropriate for a service tech but probably not an owner who is not servicing chassis stuff themselves, and 3.) Some found it not so interesting and expensive for what they got. You get a spread of opinions from those that have gone. The program seems to have changed over the years and maybe less technical and more user oriented in more recent presentations. I have heard the food is good, and people generally like PJ's day-long part of the Spartan U.

The question was about Entegra University...NOT Spartan Owner Training...

This one was our third and I think theses gatherings are worthwhile. They put on a good show and we enjoyed meeting other owners. We're also planing on attending the A.I.M. gatherings as well.

It would be interesting to hear from someone that has taken the class if it is any different than PJ's videos on Youtube?

Chuck,
We took the Entegra Class last fall while having some work done on the coach. It was a good refresher on all the systems. They keep the classes very small so you can ask lots of questions. PJs videos were made a few years ago, and while relevant, they are not totally current. Lots of upgrades since they were made (I think in 2016). One day of the class is devoted to the Spartan chassis (we attended Spartan Academy in 2016). This block needed some refinement but was informative. The entire EU class was a good refresher and worth the time and $. When folks drive a $300k+to $600k++ coach, the investment of time & $ is a drop in the bucket. Entegra is improving their training program as they grow. Hopefully in the future they will have a dedicated training facility (now they use a Jayco training room) with more trainers (PJ is stretched thin, so they need to clone a few more of him).
As they say, JMHO....

We are registered to do EU immediately followed by Spartan Academy in September. I hope they don't clone PJ before then. Even though we are on our third Aspire, there are so many changes that the learning curve has been significant - and I'm a firm believer in the "you don't know what you don't know" theory. I'm sure there are things we should be doing that aren't getting done because we aren't aware of them. And other things that we have just forgotten over the years - and probably some shortcuts that we don't know about. You get the picture. We've already submitted our first list of items to be addressed while we are at the training - this time we'll have something productive to do while we are waiting.

PJ is cool, though I would like to take the class... Still not sure about this. My friends attended Entegra live session, and one liked it, while two others said that it wasn`t so interesting. Checking opinions on forums, yet cannot decide. :\

My vote would be for Spartan at an Entegra specific course where you get the basics of the Entegra systems from PJ as well.

I'm just the opposite from 757 Driver. If you do the Entegra U, you get a full day of Big Mike (Spartan) and the rest is devoted to the house (PJ). Pretty good catering at both

So---who is this "Big Mike?"
We took the Spartan Training at a dealer---no big Mike.
We took Entegra U in Middlebury---no big Mike.
OK. We did chase him down for a few minutes at Homecoming.
Warranty service during training at the dealer---exceptional.
Warranty service at Entegra during EU---not so exceptional. Of the six rigs, four stayed over the weekend waiting parts, one rig was out of warranty and elected to defer repair back to their dealer, and one rig left with an unresolved issue ultimately needing parts.
