I think the Cruz is onto some good ideas. Love that 44F, even if the TV is so near the desk. When washing dishes, why not watch the TV over the passenger's seat? Or get a DISHWASHER!!!! (Not me!)
That floorplan is quite analogous to the full slide floorplans, but much more structurally sound-I love that part. One of my hangups with the two baths is the front one always offers a too-small sink, not good for shaving, etc. (Check out the Newmars on how tiny they think a sink can be...) I guess that means I need the rear bath with two sinks?
Like all the full slide floorplans, the problem always seems to be where to stick the main TV. Newmar puts it at the rear of the dinette or over the frt. RH love seat on a lift. Neither of these is all that great, in my opinion. But having the TV next to the refer, ala Tiffin, doesn't trip my trigger, either. Open the fridge to get a beer and you miss the winning home run!
Remember, we all have our preferences and one advantage here is a disadvantage there....all a mfr. can do is creat something as close to satisfactory as MOST people can live with. The other alternative is to custom-build a Newell!
Bottom line....Cruz, I love what contributions you are making to this coach. Keep up the good work. Bob Tiffin would be proud of you!

Actually, Entegra is moving the overhead TV from the passenger side to the center. My drawing doesn't reflect that but it would be centered so that it's more visible from various seating (or standing) locations.
I know what you mean regarding Newmar's TV by the dinette. But that cuts into valuable pantry storage space unless you add a pantry behind it. But that pushed everything forward and you lose the wider couch.
I'ts always a matter of fitting everything in. Now, if they only made 48' coaches it would be easy.

How about a 5 slide coach? One where the back end extends out an extra 5' once parked.

Cruzer, I just got back from "Down Under". My friend makes coaches over there and recently built a 4x4 RV on a MAN chassis. http://www.coachdesign.com.au/coach_gallery.html Uses those wide, single-dual Michelins on all 4 wheels. But their width is limited to 2.5 meters-about 98 in. wide. Saw a video about him climbing sand dunes across the Simpson Desert and must say those tires are amazing! Of course, he had to deflate 'em to about 20-30# to get proper flotation, which ruined the tires! :-)
But with only 98 in. to work with, you can see interior space is really at a premium. We should be thankful we have 102 to work with. But again, all floorplans ARE a tradeoff.

Mark:
Take your 44F and bring the pantry and fridge in off of the slide, have the option of the main TV on the fridge wall and I would think you would have a winner.

I say forget all these floorplans in these "plastic" coaches. Gimmie that Newell and I'll be a happy camper-whatever the floorplan might be!

I saw that show last night. I'll let you know if the Newell is something you might be interested in come April. I have an appointment to go to Newell in March to do an article and road test for RV Magazine. It's a tough job but someone has to do it.

Mark, I really think you need the help of a qualified CPA on that road test. Now, I've been pretty busy, but I might be able to free up some time.......

Sounds like a good tax writeoff.

Yeah, I hear you on that. It appears that the Newell has the engineering and construction that I'd love to have but it would require fractional ownership with about 6 other parties to own because it's definitely above my pay grade.
