Entegra Land Speed Record

Looking through the Rand McNally screens on my GPS I found some interesting information. Keeps track of milage for trips, legs of trips and total. Also notes top speed on trips & total. Top speed my coach has achieved thus far is 107.4 MPH. Should I believe this?

Is it even possible in this coach? I know, 600 HP, but c'mon.
The coach had around 1200 miles on it when I picked it up at the dealer, the average fuel economy was 7.3 MPG on the Spartan display. If the transport guy is doing 107 MPH, I would think the MPG would be around 2.

Maybe I got the competition/racing version with NOS and no EPA stuff?

I wonder if the GPS looses the signal, then reconnects, if it miscalculates MPH? Check and see at what RPM your engine would have to turn to get up to 107 mph. I'm sure it would exceed the safety ratings of your tires.

Smokin'...kinda indicates the kind of high quality drivers you can get that would take a coach down a hill at 107...good thing a law enforcement official didn't set at the bottom...he might have used up his profits on that trip.

If your delivery driver drove yours like my delivery driver did mine.....that figure wouldn't surprise me.

My computer MPG showed 5.6 MPG at delivery and the computer lies on the high side. That guy had to have it floored the entire way.

GPS can make some funny calculations. I have observed mine give me some "interesting" numbers in the max speed category. I know I did not travel that fast at any time during that leg.

Or a really BIG STEEP hill. I really think that it is an error on the GPS. We just drove ours home and I am positive it showed speeds well in excess of speeds I travelled.

got me beat my best run was 105mph it was all the coach would do on flat ground.

I remember long ago coming east on 80 on the down hill side of Sherman hitting 145mph in a semi my friend that was with me asked how far it took to stop at that speed and my reply was you can't see that far.

Maybe he wanted to get there quick, before the paint fell off.

I just looked at mine and it shows 106.5. I know for a fact my speed has never been over 105 in the mh.

I get those anomalous numbers as well. 107 max speed as well as 8048 rpm on the engine monitor. Kind of makes me lose faith in the max numbers.
