Entegra Microwave Model

Does anyone know the model number of the Whirlpool microwave Entegra is using these days? Looking at replacing ours.

Thanks

CS sent me one last year when mine failed right before my warranty expired.

It is the Whirlpool YWMH76719CS

We put a GE advantium In our 2016. MUCH better convection and baking performance and great microwave. Also costs a lot more but worth it if you want cakes and pies! All JMHO

When our Samsung started having a mind of it's own, I could not find the same model number that I got from Entegra CS retail. I went to Lowes to order it and the sales guy said he had the same thing in stock that was proprietary to Lowes, but it had the finish that doesn't show finger prints and it was $100 cheaper. It's in the coach now and Entegra saved a hundred bucks.

FYI the Whirlpool is an inch deeper, so it will stick out farther and the door is wider so when it swings out it takes more room. When the slides are in it gets a little tight opening the door.

Don, We had 2 Samsung's before switching to the Whirlpool model being discussed and it was an easy swap that fit fine in our 2016 existing cabinet.

Sue is a very good cook and probably better baker and was totally frustrated with the useless Samsung convection microwave. I was suffering from homemade baked goods and not happy either and I'm not getting into the gremlin issues during any hour if the day or night.

I assure you that ALL BAKED goods and COOKING is very good with the Whirlpool microwave.

In fact I think it's time for a piece of wild Maine Blueberry Pie, chocolate chip cookies , NO maybe a brownie. Today was baking day !

When I did our kitchen, I installed a 30" Speedcook. I put the 240V unit in and it is hands down the best microwave/convection/whatever oven I've used.

However, I'm thinking Whirlpool due to price difference.

Does the Whirlpool have a different exhaust location requiring vent modifications?

Not to change the topic, but I wish our induction cooktop was a 240V unit so you could get both burners on high. Anyone change the cooktop out?

Thanks,

-Matt

Matt, Whirlpool exhaust location and wall exhaust cutout in the wall was the same as the Samsung BUT before mounting you must unscrew the fan/deflector on the Whirlpool and re-orient to blow out the back instead of top exit. Simple change !

Thanks for all the help and information guys. This is our second Samsung which was replaced under warranty 2 years ago. This is after the mother board and a few others were replaced on the original unit that only lasted a week prior to failing again.

We came back to the motorhome the other day with the fan running on high and then the light would go on by itself so time for a change.

We went to order the Whirlpool from Best Buy for store pickup while at Homecoming next week but they do not have the ability to input a Canadian billing address. They also had the option of PayPal so I figured that will work.....wrong!!! Best Buy does not accept a Pay Pal account outside of the USA.

Next tried Home Depot but they do not seem to have the option of store pickup on microwaves. Frustrating to say the least. Going to go into the store and see what their prices are there.

Microwave replacement

Don,
We went with a Kitchen Aid and DW loves it, a little pricey (650 on sale)but if you watch the sales you can save some money. I also helped a friend install one in his 2016 Anthem. Cooks great, have not had any issues with it. When I installed it I added a 1 1/2 inch aluminum angle on top of the weak metal bracket that the microwave attaches to on the top. Send me a message if you have any questions

Thanks Jack for the info. Ended up with the he Whirlpool $399.00 on sale at Lowes. They had them in stock at Elkhart and was able to pick one up today. Home Depot no longer offers in store pickup for appliances so they lost the sale.

Anyone at Homecoming want any spare parts for a Samsung microwave? See me at site 453.
