Entegra Press Release - New Facility

Jayco just made it official. Today they announced a $2.9 million dollar 77,000 sq ft extension to their existing 62,000 sq ft facility to be completed in May. It will house production for the Entegra line and create 65 new jobs. That'll certainly help meet the ever increasing demand for Entegra coaches. Given Jayco's commitment toward the ecology (they plan on being landfill free by 2015 and are doing extensive recycling) this plant will undoubtedly incorporate several state of the art features. That's a pretty big commitment considering Entegra was just in the idea stage not that many years back. It just goes to show that "if you build it, they will come". It's nice to see American quality rewarded.

Mark, that is great news for those of us Entegra wannabes out there. That's a pretty fast construction time table, particularly over the winter.

They have enough time to get the excavating and slab in before it gets really cold. After that they'll get the superstructure up pretty quick and then have time to outfit it and do the mechanicals during winter. The last addition went up pretty fast. With the way Entegra is growing in popularity this probably won't be the last expansion. They'll get it down to a science pretty soon.

Great news! As the beat goes on, more and more folks will get to enjoy the quality and value of having a great coach at a great price point. Knowing the Entegra commitment to quality, I have no doubt they will hire the new workforce over the winter and have them up to speed and ready to build the Entegra way by the time the new facility is finished. This is much preferable to trying to speed up the current line at the risk of quality control lapses.
