Entry step stuck part way out won’t open or close
Step stuck part way out.
I have reset salesman switch, checked fuse
Not sure what to do next

Do you know the manufacturer of the power step ?
Stopped part way usually means the mechanism is bound up , and the controller shuts down to prevent damage to the motor.

Spray some silicone spray on all moving parts. Dirt can keep it from folding completely.

Many times the plastic gears on those will strip and motor needs to be replaced. Usually happens when people get on step before it is completely extended. Don’t ask me how I know.

yup me to, mine darn near killed me as it retracted as i stepped down on it and off i went to the ground.
plastic gear in the lock mechanism failed.
i have a pic somewhere, but camping world had one in stock

I carry a spare step motor now with me because of its reliability issues. I've had three fail on me (2 on the Allegro and one on previous MH). It's a royal pain having one go out on you when you are on the road.
