Here's an interesting article that might shed some light. We had Extra Ride on our last coach that we got when we bought it as a three year old. It ended up being worth it to us. But as the article explains, it's an insurance policy not a real warranty so some things may not be covered or there might be a deductible.

They were their...I was a little surprised at the price...way less than what RVOne was trying to move 8 months ago. Curt, Was that through RVOne, or did you find that on Coach.net?

I have always avoided ESP's, repair insurance, or whatever you want to call them until we purchased our current rig. My thinking is this CC is the most complex motorhome we have had, the parent company is no longer in business, so I decided to get one for the house only. I purchased a plan from a company called Cornerstone in Hickory, NC. It was $3,400 for 4 years with a $200 deductible. They have many plans.
So far, since April when I purchased the plan, it has paid for a new Splendide Ariston dryer, a motor for the door awning and, most recently, a $2,000 inverter. This includes labor costs. The RV shop who has just replaced the failed inverter said Cornerstone was one of the most accommodating companies they have worked with.
At this point, I am glad we got it and glad we picked this particular company.

I wonder is it likely that Entegra themselves would consider offering an extended warranty to those of us who would like the peace of mind?

Parent company, Jayco, hasn't for 45 years. Not generally in the business model for a manufacturing company. IMHO, I doubt it.

It's too bad they don't. I had a Lexus and Toyota offered me a five year 0 ded. Extended warranty after the factory warranty expired. It was the greatest thing since sliced bread. It paid for itself.

I agree with the idea since that would mean we'd have Joyce's services a lot longer, but the complexity of these beasts and the huge number of OEM's that are assembled to make one would seem to be too daunting a challenge to take on for 5-7 years. I think we're lucky to get the 2 years and that was a big seller for us.
