IMO for most folks without a lot of RV repair experience, that $600 fee is well worth it. I worked in college at a RV shop and can repair most anything RV but technology has changed a lot in the past 80 years. Heck, even the toilet is electronic now. A lot of times being educated about the terms and practices can save you a lot of money later and is invaluable when you breakdown someday and either fix it yourself or trying to contact someone and describe what you need.
