Terri has been my salesperson twice...she's a very nice gal, and very experienced with Entegra sales.

Chuck, I am confused by your post. What does Terri have to do with LD?
And based on what you saw, would you now have confidence in LD?

I was shopping at RVOne and Terri was filling in for Robin while he was at the Hershey show.
The improvement was the QC from Entegra arriving at LD. Big improvement on how my coach arrived from Entegra. They actually had completed paint jobs Not to mention very short punch lists
After trying to get warranty service at LD 2 weeks ago after making an appointment two months in advance......I have less confidence in LD than I had before. After sitting there for three day and all they did was find the radiator leak, we came home. I ordered the parts and will fix the items myself and the remainder will wait for my PDI.

No more pictures on production line. New policy. There yesterday. They said to many pics ending up on the web with false info about production.

They told our tour group the same thing at the Ribbon Cutting, but the group behind us shot all kinds of pictures. I thought maybe it was because I was in that group and I post pictures Maybe the were just starting the policy then.

I think they are trying to protect their brand. They have made a huge investment in their facilities and products and feel a need to protect their image from damage from those who could gain by it. That's my opinion only. 😬

I thought the same thing after seeing the new factory...... there are things there they wanted to "keep Entegra" and I can't blame them.

Some dealers have all the luck (RVOne that is) I bet he is still dancing in the streets! :

why would you want to see your coach built?
other than a warm and fuzzy feeling from seeing "your" coach being built what good could come from it? You will not spot anything specifically wrong with the unit. 99.999% of the coach build will be before and after you leave or out of your sight as there are some areas you cannot go.
By all means, go for an Entegra plant tour to see how they are built. Ask why the new assembly area does not have a dedicated front end alignment facility despite the repeated problems in past models with front end alignment or the lack there-of. I know it goes off site for front end alignment but Entegra needs to bring things like that in house so they can control it. Like the steps to control paint better by bringing it in house. As you tour look at the coaches on the line and the amount of construction debris and loose screws and fasteners are lying around. Both on the floor of the plant and all over the coaches in production. Your coach will have the same trash hidden in the same nooks and crannies....you will not be able to go sweep out or vacuum your coach. Just some thought starters.
The new QC area is a little disturbing. Manufacturing learned 20 or 30 years ago you cannot inspect in quality. The person that does the job controls the quality. The guy driving the screws knows when he strips one and it will never be caught in QC. Entegra needs more control in production on fastener torgue control to eliminate the multitude of stripped fasteners on the coach I find. There needs to be much more error proofing to dispense the correct number of fasteners not just let the operator grab a handful. The plant and the units are littered with dropped "extra" fasteners and the gravel and cement around the plant is littered with stray screws and fasteners if you bother to walk around and look. Those fasteners either end up in a tire and what about the hole they were supposed to be in that has no screw?
I'm not trying to be negative or cast a bad light on Entegra as the other makes are very similar in build. I'm just offering ideas for improvement and places for folks with no manufacturing background to watch which they might not see otherwise.

I thought the new plant did indeed have an alignment pit in the building. Thought I saw it when I was there, am I wrong?

The only pit I recall was for undercoating .
A reason to see your coach on the line ? It's a rush and in our case an employee handed Sue a paint pen and suggested she date and initial the firewall. Little things sometimes become big things. We think that line worker also enjoyed the moment as he was beaming ear to ear too .
Regarding the factory on our tour we observed employees sweeping the work area, vacuuming coaches during construction and virtually no fasteners, screws or debris scattered in the plant.
Upon delivery of our coach I have spent a lot of time poking, crawling in the basement, pulling out drawers etc and only found a few remnants of wood chips behind the new wet bay door panel. Took all of a couple of minutes to clean. The coach we just traded, built in 2008 I could still find construction debris every time I worked on it , removed a drawer or poked behind spaces.
Personally I believe Entegra does a much better job in controlling the construction litter then the other RV factory tours we have been on !

Looks like you are wrong. I was there and talked to the guys from Hunter Alignment who were setting up the gear in late May before they put it into use. The three times I was back to the plant since then they always had a new coach on the rack and were in the process of aligning it. The rack is in Final Fit and Finish in the last stall, quite a few doors down from the undercoating pit. Our Cornerstone was one of the first to be aligned and they must have done a good job because it handles like a dream.

I took the tour of the new factory during the Ribbon Cutting and it was "ready for inspection". How the plant looks now in full production, Hayman has been there after the grand opening and would be a better judge. I was looking, but I did not see an alignment pit.
I just saw that Mark saw the equipment. I would think they would want to show that off on the tour.
