Are you turning off Full Accessory mode when done? In short, once youve got it in Tow Mode, remove your foot from the brake and push the Engine Start/Stop button one last time to turn off accessory mode.

Matt's right: the answer is to make sure you've got accessory power off.

It's also a good idea to have the shop wire the electrical umbilical so that your coach charges the battery as you tow. Because it's not strictly necessary for our toads, not all shops will do it unless you ask. But there's really no downside and it ensures you'll never kill the battery.

Look at my post of 8/28, at my NB at the end for the additional final step to my original setup instructions.

How do you do this?

Matt,

I'm looking at purchasing a golf cart to put in the back of an F-150. At first glance, nearly all the golf carts that I'm considering are too long to fit in the bed of a 2019 F-150 King Ranch. May I ask what length bed you have on your truck; is it an F-350? And is your golf cart standard size? FYI, the bed length on the F-150 is 5 1/2 feet. My objective is to be able to load the golf cart into the back of the F-150 and be able to close the tailgate.

May just have to buy a bigger truck, haha.

Thanks in advance!

ron

Im amazed the cart fits in and above the bed, without removing anything.

Now if I could figure out 2 remaining questions:

-How to remotely fire up the pickup an have it help push up hills?

-How to connect a fuel line to the coach so I can add 48 gallons usable.

Just kidding.

Hi Ron,

Yes, I now have a LWB F-350 Lariat 4WD. The LWB gives a bed length of 8 which is what you see pictured.

My F-150 Platinum had the 5.5 bed and the cart and Extend-A-Haul prevented the tailgate from closing. Even still, we happily carried the cart for 3 years without issue.

On the F-150, I added an overload spring to manage the extra weight. Even with the spring, the truck sagged about 2-3 with the cart loaded.

The F-350 is so much more capable in all respects, but loses the polish of the F-150. The 350 doesnt squat one bit, and is truly the tool for that job.

While the F-250 LWB would be an easier truck to live with as a daily driver, the payload is typically not very impressive.

PM me if you want more details about the setup.

Best Regards,

-Matt
