Most of the posts here regarding Robert L's paint deficiencies seem to treat it as a singular instance of something slipping by the QC people. From what I have observed lately, it is just poor QC in general, as there have been many coaches with inferior paint jobs. If this type of paint process is not addressed, and soon, it will certainly reflect poorly on Entegra!

I agree with Robert L and jfb318, The paint should be the least of all issues and should be caught at the QC level. The time and effort it takes for the customer after delivery is wearing me down.

I have the same issue with my paint, it really became apparent when I was staying at a campsite a few weeks ago and a 2008 Newmar with similiar colors parked right next to mine and his 4 year old paint job had a better shine than my 2012 Entegra. Mine still has all the swirl marks from Precision when the sun hits the side and my Cargo doors have the shine of a floor mat.

The good news is Entegra will go the distance to make it right but we the customer have to take time out of our lifes to sit there while things are being fixed. I am heading to LDays on a few weeks because we have been working on a bigger issue for the last 4 months on the coach. While at Ldays I will see if the paint can be addressed and corrected. They appear to be capable of handing the paint issue, they certainly have big enough bays in the bodyshop!

Robert I will let you know how it comes out.

When are they going to start making a 40" TV centered upfront instead of the goofy 26" above the passenger side? I never understood what the mid TV facing the wrong way is for? The U-shaped dinette faces forward.

The standard config now is a 32" centered over the windshield and a 46" at the midship position. Definitely no issues with viewing from any seat.

Much appreciated. I too have swirl marks on the side of my coach. I am also going to have the paint thickness measured, as I just trust the way they finished my coach. Let the cargo doors "tap" a aluminum chair when you open it, and the the paint flakes off.

I just hope they don't have to sand this down to the bare material to CORRECTLY apply and finish the paint

Good luck!

I am looking at buying an entegra anthem and wonder if there are other issues I should worry about?

Nothing major. The paint issue just came up and Entegra is dealing with that now but as far as I know there are no other major issues. We love our 2011 Anthem and have ordered a new 2013 so we are confident in the quality.

You mean other than being the envy of all SOB (some other brand) owners when you pull into a campground?

I've been lurking and I just have to leave a comment/opinion. I spent close to $10,000 to paint a Corvette a while back and almost $8,000 to paint my Nova. Neither have any graphics, just single colors. So, if you are expecting perfection for a multi-color RV paint job you better expect to have paid a bunch more for it.
By the way, I am real close to getting one on order. And for the price I expect to pay, I won't expect Prevost or Newell quality paint. I figure to get what I pay for. Nothing more.

First, let me say, I know for a fact that Entegra is making engineering/manufacturing changes as issues arise, to improve their quality and our overall customer experience.

Next, (this is just my opinion of course) Robert, those of us who own a new coach all have some type of issue(s). Some small, some large, some, a combination of both. Are you saying that Entagra is NOT addressing the issue for you? Or are you upset and yelling via capital letters because you wanted them to catch something that they missed?

Again, IMO they are human, they are allowed to make mistakes...especially if they are willing and able to solve the problem. It would be great if they caught everything before delivery so we never had to visit a shop or take it back to the factory. But that seems unrealistic.

Robert, I would encourage you to reach out to the customer service group...which I'm sure you have. Additionally, I don't think you can find an Entegra owner that would tell you Entegra isn't "owning their mistakes." They do recognize they aren't perfect, and they are going above and beyond to solve customers issues in a timely and friendly way. They aren't perfect, but they represent the best customer service experience I've ever had in my life. Period.

In the end, yes our time is worth something. But having the peace of mind of Entegra standing behind us 100%, and reassuring us that they will support their product, and our decision to purchase it, is worth a hell of a lot more...AGAIN THAT"S JUST MY OPINION.

OK,OK
We just left the FMCA Show in Indianapolis, what a great show!!
With all the training classes we attended, I might become dangerous

I was hanging around the RVDirect Display area for the 2013 model Entegra's, checking out what's new for each line, Aspire, Anthem and Cornerstone, when I ran into Dan Miller the Owner of Precision Painting.

We started talking and Dan is very aware of all the information going around the InterNet about Orange Peel on the Entegra Coaches. From what he told me, this is not a PAINT issue!! This is a "Clear Coat" issue. The "orange peel" is cented on the Aspire only. Entegra has Precision Painting "wet sanding" the coach, but not the bays (below the floor line). Hense, the orange peel look. Clear Coating, by nature, has an orange peel when dry effect at application. If you don't "wet sand", there lies the problem.

Precision Paint and Jim Jacobs (Pres. of Entegra) has worked out a deal where this should not be an issue anymore.

The Entegra Display was really hopping Robin of OrlandoRV told me that they sold 14 Entegra's at this show. WOW!

Well I am glad to see they are aware of the situation and will be doing something about it. thats why after doing my homework, talking to reps at Entegra, I purchased an Entegra. I Guess when I take it for service for some needed repairs in the next few weeks they will approve the facility to take care of this issue as well. Doesn't seem cost effective but if everything gets fixed and buffed I will be a happy camper!!!!

Another bit of information. A high volume dealer told me new coach owners statistically own a coach for 3 years 2 months. Then they either trade up or trade out entirely. They also work on tweeking and fixing problems the first 2 years of their coach ownership. With all that said I estimate we will trade up to a cornerstone in the next year or two and I will just continue to work on our Aspire for the benefit of the next owners. Hell I needed something to do anyway.

Just heard from Mark Strollo. They actually got 16 with last two written at the airport and while breaking down their display. This is fantastic news for Orlando RV and especially the ever growing Entegra family. Party time is near!!

Riscky, X2 for me. Glad you stepped up and put in writing what several of us were trying but not able to say. EVERYONE makes mistakes and Entegra and Precision appear to have made some here, BUT they are standing behind them and fixing them and you really can not ask for more than that. All just MY opinion.
