Florida RV Supershow - arrival route warning

Here is a lesson I learned last year the hard way. I just punched the Florida State fairgrounds in my GPS and followed the computer voice. If you look carefully at the Florida RV Supershow website it says "All RVs and over-sized vehicles must enter through the US Hwy 301 entrance ONLY. Cars and standard size vehicles may enter the through MLK gate". Heed this warning. Last year I came into the fairgrounds from Martin Luther King Blvd on a beautiful wide road that goes thru a ticket booth that has massive concrete curbs. I survived with scraping the "S" of my front Spartan wheel cover. Don't try to match my "will it fit, or not" arrival. Only enter the show on the East side! (fixed)

Might add, that if you arrive after show closure for the day (planning to spend the night), the only entrance is the security/show participant entrance. No problem, although you'll have to explain that your here for the show to the security guard. Once parked you be visited the next morning to get your parking fare and a windshield paper. I didn't have any issues getting the coach through that gate.

Don't you mean east side? That's the side that US 301 is on.

You are so right. I meant east side for Hiway 301.

You are so right. I entered on MLK the last time I was there, about 5 years ago. The entrance is very narrow, and even though I stayed as close on my side as I dared, I hit the passenger side mirror on the post. Take Hogdriver's advice.

Note: When I went the signage was poor and there was no indication where RV's should enter. I hope they have better signage now.
