Gary,
State Farm did us one better, they pulled completely out of the coastal areas of Florida even letting their agents go out of business, mine was one of them. All of their residual commissions for retirement....GONE over night. I was with State Farm for 45 years, nice way to say thanks you for your business. What they did to their agents was criminal. Yep, gone are the days of loyalty.

Chuck, understand totally. Have been with Farm Bureau for 52 years. Had a hail storm on my S&B, filed a claim and found out that they added a clause that hail or wind loss deductible was not the $500 that has always been what I thought I was paying for(other losses are) but instead 1% of the House value which they raise 5% annually! Big shock on the price of a new roof.

UPDATE:
Just received the paper bill in the mail, price if paid in full $3,390. The email bill I received was $3,702. which was the installment price. Copy and paste from the email. Read carefully how you are being billed. The email does not read like installment price.
The total premium for your next term excluding interest charges and payment option discount is $3,702.00.

Just got off the phone with Hartford. Unless I insure everything with them, the MH is $4,862. Basically telling me. "not in your zip code." Other quotes I am getting are around the paid in full price with Progressive.

I was able to reduce my premium by lowering my acv to a realistic amount. It had been left at the purchase price since new and they weren’t about to pay that much if I total it.

They dinged me about $700 too, but I don’t mind. I dinged then for about $30,000 in one comprehensive claim the previous policy year. Consider, a 45’ coach towing is is likely over 65’ and the coach probably cost as much or more than your house and you are driving it down a bunch of lousy worn out roads full of trucks at 70 MPH is a big target. Windshield replacement is about $3,000. Replaced one in previous 3 years and had two other comprehensive claims totaling over $7,000. So, in previous 4 years, Progressive has paid about $40,000 in claims. When you consider the cost of your homeowner insurance vs. coach insurance based on the exposure, don’t see how they can insure them for less $$$. Coach premium is still less than my homeowners!

Chuck, $3390 if it includes full replacement cost isn’t out of line. Mine is around $3100 with full replacement.

I just could not bring myself to tolerate a $1,500 increase (essentially 50% increase in premium) for full replacement on my 19 Cornerstone, up from ~ $3,100, so after MUCH thinking and much looking and much hesitating, I decided to drop from full replacement back to ACV on my coach which dropped it back to about $3,200..... I hate to pay silly increases which kept it about the same as full replacement last year.

Then as noted above, my house went up 35% so i am shopping again. Still dont understand what could produce a 35% increase... at that rate of increase it could be double in 3 years... amazing.

I am not complaining at all with the real price. I am glad I waited for the paper bill. That is also full replacement and so far nobody has come close. Thanks for the reassurance.
