Front Sun Screen Shade Problem

When the Coach is running the SSS's will not go up or down to act as a sun viser. The screens always worked this way before while driving.

The screens do work with the coach not running.

I called Entegra and they said you have to hold the switches down for 5 seconds and then they will work. I tried this and the screens still do not work. Neither the DS or PS do not work when the coach is on the move. Screens do work when the coach is not running.

Called Entegra they will look into this on Monday.

Anyone ever have the same experience?

That is a little strange. You say they work perfectly when the coach is not running? Could it be a safety interlock of sorts? Mine work fine - running or not. I often will lower the shades quite a bit when traveling west at dusk. The front shade control module is located behind the panel above the entry door. I had a wire come out once that prevented the toll window shade from lowering, but it worked fine with the iPad controller.

I don't think mine work when the coach is on. I tried putting up the shades once after I turned on the coach, and they wouldn't go up ... thought, oh no - here we go. But, turned the coach off and they came up fine. Go figure.

Yes. Mine used to work that way and now it will not operate that way.

I have had a couple of times when I almost gave up while holding down the switch, let go and then the awning started moving.

Just for Ha ha's, try shutting off the 12V power switch and see if a re boot may solve the problem.

That is how mine works as well. Push it once and it will begin to move, push it again, and it will stop. The wiring for mine went through the stair well light panel, after trying the electrical re-boot Chuck suggested, you might try turning on the master lights and see if it works. I had to get a new light switch sent to me to fix mine when it would not work. (The master light switch in the stair well would not work either)

Entegra seems to be having problems with their window shade motors. I have to have two replaced and have had ongoing problems with shades. Dealer informed me that they had to replace 15 motors on one coach and also bedroom control panel. Factory rep admits to problems with the motor.

I have had a few problems with the night shade motors. I was going to say that my sun shades work while running or driving, and I was perusing owners manuals on line and saw where the sun shades will only work from the driver's switches while running. Hope that answers question.
