Fuel doors

Our fuel doors make metal to metal contact when closed. Checking a few other Anthems, they were the same. Has anyone come up with a fix for this? I used some adhesive backed pads...but they soon disappear when diesel gets on them. The metal to metal contact is wearing through the paint.

Put the pads on the fuel door, fuel shouldn't get them there.

I keep a pair of leather gloves for fueling (as the pumps invariably have diesel on the handles). Cram them in the space for carry purposes and have seen no rubbing metal on metal.

There is an increasing amount of diesel on the fingers of the gloves though
