We are averaging about 6.7 mpg over the first 4,300 miles. Generally cruising at about 65 mph on the freeway. I think the big 600 does better on the freeway at that speed than on 2 lane highways at 50, at least from my instantaneous readings.
That is flat towing my Ford Explorer. Of course my logic is that Explorer gets about 18 mpg when running and the coach gets 6.7. If you had to drive both, you would would be burning more fuel. So, if I consider the fact that that I am " saving " the fuel that I would be using in the Ford, my mileage is really 10.7 mpg! Alright, alright. I know it doesn't work that way, but it is MY story and I am sticking with it!

I have noticed a growing mpg since I hit 4500 miles. No complaints.

That is typical for diesels. Initial mileage improves greatly once the miles roll up. I've seen steady increases up to 12,000 miles with incremental increases after that all the way to 18,000 miles. After that it stays steady.
I recently spent an afternoon driving a brand new "other brand" ISX pusher. It was fresh off the factory floor with no delivery miles. The dash readout began at 4.9 MPG but gradually increased to 5.7 by day's end so those first 150 miles ramped up significantly.

I generally get about 8.3 highway at 65 mph running the generator and towing a Jeep Wrangler and 7.5 mpg with longer periods of idle. (Aquahot has no bearing on the MPG since the Aspire uses LPG for heating). The standard way of calculating by dividing the milage by the number of gallons used seems to be less than accurate do to the amount of foaming associated with pumping with diesel fuel. Seems like some pumps cause more foam due to volume and speed. When I get the credit card statement with the fuel purchases I would swear it was gallons to the mile instead of miles to gallon. I apologize to all my friends to the north for not supplying the metric equivalents.

That is just fine, up north we go both ways.

Entegra only....Mine is still terrible compared to others. A short trip to Tampa, 306 miles with pencil and paper mileage, 5.99 MPG. Computer said 7.5, but that is not what the credit card showed. That was with the cruse set at 67 mph towing a Tacoma PU, the rear end starts howling at 68-70...waiting for a new rear end to be installed. I just turned 5,000 miles, hopefully it will improve. So far, not so good.

Chuck on the last 600 mi from Middlebury In. to Tn. My pencil and paper mileage was 8.55. The computer readout was 8.9. My computer always reads about .5 mpg higher than the paper and pencil mileage. Noel

I will try one more trip before running this to Cummins to find out what is going on. No reason to only be getting 6 MPG on a lightly loaded coach.

I just finished a trip from VA to South FL and got 8.6 mpg measured between diesel stops. My speed was 66-73mph most of the time, towing a Tahoe, full water, and 4 people. I show 11,500 miles on the odo.
There was no stopping and no traffic jams.

Heavy weight....
Of your right foot. It's a bus, not a 'vette.
Because my bus has the inherent aerodynamics of a lunch box, mpg tanks above about 62 mph. I also seem to get better efficiency with the cruise control off, allowing the coach to slow going uphill rather than getting into the throttle to maintain speed. That said, I usually don't follow my own advice.

Just for comparison my Anthem 44B gets about 7.2 mpg towing a 4500 lb Jeep JK. I drive about 65-67 using Economy mode. My RV has only 9000 mi so far and I think it'll improve with more miles. I weighed my contents once and was under 2000 lbs of junk. I'm hoping I can get the mileage up to about 8 mpg.

Speed is the biggest factor of fuel economy. For an idea of how much wind force your motorhome has to push out of the way at varying speeds, check out this link - RV Tech Library - Fuel Economy Tips

Does anyone have any mpg numbers when not towing a car/truck for the Anthem?
