gen exhaust

anyone using the Gen-turi Generator Exhaust on your Entegra? our 12.5 onan is not neighbor friendly when running. we can tolerate the noise but the exhaust just hugs the ground and irritates us and our neighbors. looks like this item may reduce the unpleasantness of running the generator, but not sure how to attach it to the side of the coach without using unsightly brackets and/or tapping screws into the coach.

We use the Genturi when tailgating at SEC football games... Some places require it, some don't.
I have a screw in the chrome tailpipe end that I take out and attach the Genturi to the exhaust pipe.
I then have two small suction cups that I attach to the painted surface of the coach, about head-high and use the bungees that are included with your Genturi
The thing really works well but be careful when you take it down... Can be very hot and very dirty with soot if you are not careful how you handle it.

Another use for the Gen-Turi is with your aqua hot exhaust. I'm told though that the GT must be modified to fit the AH exhaust pipe. Here's an article of interest that may help you do that.

I used the genturi with my phaeton before I traded for the Aspire. Haven't needed it yet, but I got 2 dent pullers (suction cups) from an auto parts store. Doesn't leave any marks and hook the bungies to them. With the LP Aquahot, I won't need 2 genturies. It does get some soot. You can find instructions to make your own, but they are reasonably priced online and come packaged in a carry bag.

I have used Genturi for many years and I really like it. When attaching to my Anthem, I found the Anthem exhaust pipe is a little short and so the Genturi sat very close to the coach side. I was able to get an adapter at Amazon which solved the problem. Also, the weight of the Genturi is clearly too much for our long unsupported generator exhaust pipe, so I made a support chain that holds up the outboard end of the exhaust pipe when the Genturi is attached. The chain is attached to two stainless steel eyehooks that I installed in the frame of the coach, and is not attached when the Genturi is not attached.

I too use suction cups to hold the Genturi in place. I also made a wooden bracket that goes between the coach and the Genturi as a standoff. The bracket is carpeted where it touches the coach, so it does not scratch the paint.

Genturi

I got rid of the chrome turndown on my Aspire and fitted the Genturi without problems. (You must drill a hole thru the exhaust pipe). Like other threads suggested I anchor the exhaust stack to the coach with one of those $8 Harbor Freight panel lift double suction cup handles and it works great. I used it dry camping at NAS Key West in January and it worked great. Less noisy, less fumes.

MRUSA.....that's a great idea. I was planning on making an adjustable foot for it, but a steel cable with snap hooks would get it done, like the chain.

We purchase the Aspire over the Anthem in part, due to the diesel exhaust from the Aquahot, vs the non smell of a propane unit, besides the convenient, precision cooking of a propane stove.
Also, nice to NOT have to crank up the generator while boondocking to make some coffee
