Generator will not start
My generator will not start from the EC 30 or the switch on the dash.
It will start using the switch on the generator outside.
The switch on the dash and the EC30 will turn the generator off.
If you prime the generator from the EC 30 you get a red light on the switch but it will not start.
The switch on the dash lights up when the generator is running.
That is all the facts I can think to provide.
Any ideas?

Low Hanging Fruit, Find the connector for the umbilical cord off the generator to the dash. Unplug it, spray it with Contact cleaner, reassemble and try it.
Worked for me, good luck.

On the 2014, there was a problem with moisture getting into the generator harness plug that connects the inside switches. The moisture was coming from the cab A/C drain getting the plug wet. I extended my drain to behind the condenser fan away from the generator plug. That plug will be a large plug below the A/C unit. Unplug it and clean it with some contact cleaner, then wrap it with a water proof tape. Some A/C units did not have a drain hose at all causing that problem.

There's also a harness/plug inside the gen housing under the coolant reservoir. Remove the panel, remove the three bolts that hold the reservoir, pull the filter, look for the plug underneath, and same treatment...unplug, contact cleaner, and replug.

Mike:
You are not being very specific when you say "my generator will not start". What specifically do you mean? From the EC-30 panel, the starter kicks in and rolls the Yahama engine but the diesel will not fire. From the EC-30 panel, there is no attempt to start.... nothing. From the dash, which happens? Help us get a better ideal of what you are facing.

Gary,
All the functions of the EC30 are working fine but there is no response from the generator (or the starter) using the EC 30 or the switch on the dash.
I believe I found the problem today, I had some daylight left when we got setup and pulled out the EC30 schematics. If I am reading them right, "pin 3" is missing, the schematics show that is the pin that starts the generator. All of the pins are corroded pretty badly, so it looks like I need a new plug installed.
I will be at Southaven RV outside of Memphis in 3 weeks for my annual service, I am going to put this on their list to fix while they have it. I can start it up outside till then.

IIRC pin number 3 is the one missing and is only there if the transformer/relay has been installed to sense loss of shore power and start the generator. It's a long post, but many of us in 2014 thought we were getting full auto start functions, http://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/ags-...ed-220291.html
and http://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/auto...rt-199208.html
Is it the plug in the front cowl that is corroded or the Command 30 plug? Good time to check if you haven't already that the Command 30 has the new 4.0 update. The 2014 version is almost worthless and can ruin a set of batteries relying on it.

pics
Picture 1 is of the plug
Picture 2 you can see the third pin is missing
If I am reading the schematics right that pin is #3 and is Start/Preheat output.
Picture 3 & 4 are of the schematic from my EC30 book

Michael, from the photo that looks like the plug that may have been getting wet from the A/C drain to have that much corrosion.
I was mistaken on the pin number for the modification, it is pin 13 & 14. At least I remembered it had a 3 in it
