Girard awning bracket

My rear awnings front bracket appears to be broken or loose below roof level. When the awning comes out, the forward edge sags about 16” and the awning compartment tips outboard. It has stretched the sealant to the point of tears. The factory was supposed to fix it during my PDI, but clearly it was not done properly.
Has anyone had to address this issue ?, and if so, how did you repair it

Girard is located in Oceanside, CA (800) 382-8442 Give them a call and I'd also call you dealer/manufacturer and have it repaired under warranty, especially since they tired once and failed.

There have been several post, I believe the first one was by Dave, DSL417 where the mounting bolts tore loose and what the fix for it was.

Les, I would call Entegra. Seems like even though you are technically out of warranty, they have a (I think) 5 year structure warranty and that looks like structural to me!

I contacted Entegra customer today and shared the story and pictures. They returned my call a little while later to inform me they will cover the awning bracket repair. Entegra continues to impress me as a stand up, and honest company. Thank you Entegra !

I had the same issue with mine. They replaced the lag bolts with longer, fatter bolts then resealed. There's a bit of work involved because you have to remove the sealant first, install the lags and then re-seal
