We will also be leaving in the morning on Hwy 24 to I-70 then Glenwood Springs. We travel the Green Dot scenic Hwys when ever we can. If there is no size limit, we are on it. Hope to see you on the road.

Where are you headed when you hit I-70? We will be in Glenwood for 3 days and tour the canyon, it is one of my old hunting grounds.

We're heading in the same direction you are, but can't find a spot in Glenwood Springs. They had a place for us at the "resort" but wanted to charge us an additional $5 apiece for the grand kids and 2 dogs. We'll wing it and maybe boondock along US 24. We are working our way to Salt Lake City to get our sat fixed as the installers in Texas botched the job. After that who knows. The kids have never seen any of the national parks so we might try to hit one or two in the next several weeks. Pam and I are not planners and so far haven't had a problem.

Just drove through Glenwood Canyon yesterday on I 70 going west. Absolutely stunning. I thought that I 90 in Montana had some of the most beautiful scenery of any interstate I traveled on. Granted, I only traveled a small portion of I 70 but it was sure a pretty ride. Getting there was an entirely different matter.

Wasn't that traffic terrible? Good to see the sights, so it didn't bother us until our off ramp was closed and we had to do it in both directions.

Be very thankful you passed on Glenwood Canyon resort.....it is a 5 star rip off. Here's the real hoot, $5. pet charge and there is no pet walking area. It's a $75. a night gravel "campground"
