I'm going to mount a Pressure Wave pressure washer in the coach and want to have the option to do a DI rinse and also use Di water for washing the windshield and front cap during fuel stops. I found a website where you can buy a refillable cartirdge and housing for much less the cost of a packaged system. I am going to use one filter for the pressure washer, total cost without resin $55. Here are the links if anyone is interested.

Most campgrounds don't want you to use there water for washing your coach or toad.
With Dri-Wash you only need micro fibre cloths, spray on and wipe off, it won't scratch, bugs come off easy and glass cleans without streaks.
What I like most about it, that I can do just part of the coach in the morning or evening when the sun is not to bright, so I'm not spending most off the day cleaning.

DRI WASH n GUARD Waterless Car Wash: The Original Dry Wash!
I've used the DWG products for years (used to be a dealer/distributor) and they work very well even in full sun in Yuma. Haven't had a chance to use them on the Magna yet but the Dutch Star looked new after 13 years of using it. I did NOT use a brush on the unit as Newmar says not to. Will have to look at the Diamond Shield info but I'm not surprised they say not to use it. As I remember they say only paste wax.

John,

Once you get this installed I would love to see the images. I rebuilt my water stic to simplify it, and once I got the right amount of beads in it, I am amazed at how the coach looks after a wash and rinse with the DI water. Cleaning the windshield is something I am trying to figure out while traveling, and I like your idea to solve that, and it can be used to rinse the coach after washing.

Will do. I'm going to plumb this up so it's dedicated to the pressure washer. Love my water stick and still plan to keep it in the basement for the quick touch ups. I made one for my boat and another for washing windows at the S&B. May have to start drinking box wine so I can afford resin…….

John,

Thanks for the links! Looks like a reasonable solution to the deionized water challenge. Although I do enjoy a challenge, for a few $'s more, your combination looks vastly superior to my cobbled together parts.

Heck, maybe the Pentek stuff won't leak when I've got it put together.

Take care,
Stu

We use this on the windows. It's quick and works great for removing bugs.

we use the purple meguirs car soap and
a bucket. then the rinse comes in from the pressure washer running off the coaches water softener line to give us a spot free rinse

soft cloths and a few extendable handles do the trick
I use a dumb cheap squeege thing we got a flea market to hold a dry cloth (micro fiber) so i can dry the windows

Anyone ever tried the Windex exterior window product that you attach to the end of a water hose, spray the product on the windows, then turn stop-cock and rinse off with the same sprayer?? If it works on S&B windows, would there be any problem with using it on coach windows or even with the coach generally. Wonder if anyone has tried?
