GPS on front TV went out

Just after we got back on the road following lunch our front tv went black. A few minutes later it came back to life with GPS. Couple minutes later it went black again. DW turned it off and on then checked plugs. At a rest stop I checked it out, the tv comes on and will reset to satellite but nothing else. Itís either an HDMI matrix issue or interface with the radio module.

Radio module wonít come up on main tv either.

Do any of the wizards have a wand I can wave at it?

I don’t think the GPS goes through the 4X4 Matrix on your coach. My best guess is it connects directly to its own HDMI input on the TV. First check the “Input” selection and then the connections. You can pull the bottom of the TV out far enough to check the connections which is a possible cause. Look behind the bottom of the TV in the center and you will see a single screw in the mount. Remove it and the TV bottom will swing out securely hanging on the mount. To remove the TV you would lift it off the wall mount but you won’t need to just to check connections. It will be helpful to have someone keeping an eye on the TV while you are checking the cables. I understand the header for the GPS is below the false plate on the top side of the dash, passenger end. You should find the other end of the HDMI cable there.

Not an argument, but I'm thinking it could be matrix related if the matrix has the TV source locked up on satellite and not allowing it to change to anything else. Just to rule that possibility out, I would go in the basement and unplug the matrix for a minute or two to see if the matrix reboot does the trick.

It does in that it is an element of Xcite and Xcite is one of the 4 positions of the matrix.

Vance, yes that is really a bummer.

We drove from Montgomery yesterday and it was time to have a steak at The Big Texan.

We are in Alamosa for 2 nights then on to Breckenridge Saturday.

Where are you today?

-Matt

I stand corrected. It would have been so much simpler to use HDMI 2 on the front TV. Including Xcite in the 4x4 Matrix surprises me as I canít see why Anyone would need to see the navigation on any TV other than the front one. I guess I could leave the outside TV cabinet open in case I had an intrepid passenger wanting to jog along side the coach and know where we are going.

My previous coach had a 4x4 matrix with the 4th source unused. I used that for a Media Center PC and my movie database. Now I use PLEX

Matt - We are in Route 66 RV Resort. Today weíre headed to Cortez, CO and parking for a short while.

Called CS who got River Park on the line. Turned out to be an HDMI cable on the left side of the core unit under the passenger dash. Fun cable to get to without unplugging other things and very difficult to plug in an HDMI blind! But our GPS shows on the front tv now!

Vance glad you got it sorted out.

Hopefully you can see the Ancient Puebloan structures at Mesa Verde. That was a highlight from 2 years ago. We seriously discussed going back this year but decided on the Great Sand Dunes.

Hope to see you down the road,

-Matt

We went to Mesa Verde last time we were at Cortez. This time weíre going to Canyon of the Ancients.

We have to meet on the road, I want to see how you load and unload your golf cart! Specifically, how you get the ramps in and out.

Hey Matt,

You'll be glade to hear, no snow in the forecast next week.
I think Breck got about 10 inches a week ago.

Safe Travels
Cheers!
