Gray tank

Do you all leave your gray tank open or just dump it using the Maserator pump? 2017 Conerstone.

Closed. Use it to rinse after dumping black. Also donít want any gas or insects/critters from sewer line getting into our tank/ MH

I do both, if we have a sewer gnat problem it stays closed, if no gnat problem and a long stay, it's open. However on the 19 unless I modify it, it will have to stay closed as the drain line has an uphill run and the pump is need to drain it.

I usually keep mine closed unless I am doing laundry, then I open it. I usually dump both tanks just prior to laundry day. I let my hose droop to create a water trap to keep insects and gas out. A small 2x4 block , standing on edge under the hose will create a water trap area in the hose.
I also added electric dump valves so we don't need to go outside to open or close the drain valves.

Good idea, thanks. Easy enough to add to the sewer box. I could have used that a few times.

Good info here. I have been keep it open because we waste a lot of water. The way we use water I would be dumping every day.

I installed an electric valve in our grey tank line, replacing the factory manual one. it has 2 switches, one in water bay and one in the 1/2 bath. I leave grey closed, but when it starts beeping I just hit the button in the 1/2 bath to dump it.
Was fairly easy to do. I bot a valve that came with 2 switches
