Has anyone received a Spartan recall on chassis wiring recently?

An owner of a 17 anthem who pulled in beside me just asked me if I had received a Spartan wiring recall in the mail and I told him no but I have been on the road virtually all 2017 so far. I am not aware of an electrical issue recall.... on a 2015 or classic model. Did I miss something?

He added that a friend of his just discovered that his 15 Anthem was gutted by fire and discovered when the owner went to his coach today after leaving the coach in "storage" for a week or more. He tied the two issues together, but I don't know anything about either situation. Do any of you? I certainly don't want to start something on the basis of less than full information, but I am wondering if there is a chassis recall out there that I have missed that dealt with chassis wiring.

Gary

Sometimes the wording can get tricky. There was a 2017 wiring TSB by Entegra to correct the wiring (male to male connectors ) to the actuators on the engine hatch.

This might be what the 2017 owner was refereeing to, but I don't know for sure

If there was an electrical recall, I am sure it would have made it to this forum by someone that received a letter or reporting updates that are required.

The added fire story (not saying it didn't happen) would make me question the source. Had he received a letter? JMO

Not real likely that any issue in a chassis electrical harness could cause a fire when parked in storage rather than driving.

The only Spartan wiring recall that I can recall was a twisting in the throttle wire that affected the throttle signal to the ECM.

Which is low voltage/low amperage (5 volt and milliamps) and not going to cause a fire. I don't think it is even capable of melting insulation.

OK, thanks for the feedback fellows. I am on a series of long daily drives on my way back from the west coast and this fellow just happened to pull in next to me at an RV park. The information on the fire I would think is pretty reliable. He said it was a friend of his who owned a 15 and he got the information from a telephone call he received from that friend yesterday morning. He seemed to tie the two things together (possible recall and the fire) and said he would give me a copy of the recall letter but then did not before I left this morning.

I am going to assume that it is not high priority and will try to call directly to Spartan tomorrow. Maybe we will get some more news about the fire here on the forum directly from someone involved.

Thanks guys.

How about contacting Spartan to verify?
