High Rear Brake Light Is Not Working

Our 2016 Cornerstone has a non functioning LED strip brake light immediately beneath the "ENTEGRA" sign on the rear of the coach. I have accessed the wires to this light through the closet panel and applying 12 volts directly to the wires gets this brake light to work. Does anyone know the route of this wire pair and where it sources power? I have looked in the engine bay but all wires are in split loom and look the same.

Just make sure the wires are not reversed 1st. Leds must be wired correctly or they will not work

I will check the polarity of the source wires and see if there is 12 volts present as well. I agree it is best to check all possibilities. I am not certain this light has ever worked.

If the light will unplug you can check the light fixture with a 9v or cordless tool battery. There was a post here where someone found replacements at a good price using Google.

Based on personal experience with a fuse type LED lamp, I would bet the connection was wrong at the factory.

I rechecked all the wiring and in fact I do have voltage of proper polarity on this circuit when the brake pedal is pushed. During daylight the light is quite dim and essentially useless. I will order a new light and see if that fixes the problem.

Entegra did supply me with the wiring and connector drawings for the 2016 Cornerstone rear wiring harness. If anyone should need this, I can pass it along.
