High Speed Wipers 2014 Anthem
Have a quick question on operating the WS wipers. In reading the Spartan manual on the Smart Wheel operation, it says if you push the wiper button once, you have low speed wipers, press it again it should go to high speed mode, press a third time it should turn off. Low speed works perfect, but when I press it a second time it turns off, no high speed. The delay function works just fine. Am I missing something? Thanks

No, the only thing you are missing is high speed.
Each SmartWheel buttons sends a unique code over two common wires to the SmartWheel controller module. The controller then interprets the code and activates the lights, wipers and cruise accordingly. Either your wiper motor doesn't work on high speed or else the controller has some issues with it's programming logic. I had that once when the lights were all screwed up whenever I pressed the headlight and marker flash buttons. A new controller under the chassis warranty fixed it right up.

Thanks Cruzer, guess I'll have it checked when I visit Spartan for the air valve recall in the next few weeks.
Do you know where the Smart Wheel module is located on the coach?

On our Allegro Bus with a Spartan Mountain Master GT it was mounted to the inside of the firewall, right where your left foot would go when driving. If Spartan mounted it I would assume it'll be in the same place. If it was a loose accessory and Tiffin mounted it, then I can't say for sure.

With the wipers hit the button once then again when you want more and now you have intermitant wipers. You can change the speed of the wipers by turning them off then on then on again - the time between the on again will time the wiper and now they are intermitant just like a car.

The delay or intermittent function works just fine, as do the other Smart Wheel functions. The wiper Hi/Lo switch only produces low speed wipers, no hi. After talking with Entegra, Spartan uses their own proprietary control box and not the Smart Wheel provided control box to communicate with both the Smart Wheel and the individual functions (radio, wiper, lights, etc).Mark with Spartan sent me a wiring schematic and spent quite some time with me tracing back numerous wiring harnesses and specific voltage requirements for the wiper functions.
Spartan is sending me a replacement "pod" for the Smart Wheel wiper function, hopefully solving the issue. The only other possibility at this point is the digital Spartan Control Module (SCM). Would more than likely have to travel to Spartan to get that diagnosed and replaced, a 14 hour trip for me.
Can't say enough about the GREAT support I've gotten from both Mark at Spartan and Bob at Entegra.
