I did mine today. They are hard to move and you need a ladder.

Couldn't get it ... seems to be some epoxy or something on them. Managed to break one off... I have to take the Anthem over to Cherokee farms rv in mid January for a mod - so I'll get them to do it then.

There are a very few that do not have a flapper with latches.. Mine among them surprisingly.. But nearly all range hoods and other cooking stove vents have the latches... Just so you know.. First thing you should do is look for them.

Thanks guys for the info on this. One of the gems of knowledge I would totally miss other wise. Just never occurred to me that there was a door on that vent until the DW had a pot of boiling water on the stove steaming up the place. Turned on the hood fan and steam did not disappear. I was trying to find what was wrong with the vent. Went outside, looked at the vent opening, got out the ladder, sure enough the door was latched closed. We never knew anything about a door up there. Still trying to get the latches open 3 days later. Pushing on them has not worked so far. At 40 degrees they seem brittle so I'll try when it warms up and they are a little more forgiving.
Thanks again.
I do feel better that our antique 2013 has the Whirlpool Gold oven as OEM.

HoHoHo Merry Christmas....and lessons learned
Thanks guys! Had not thought about the latches either. Man, those things are tough to get open the first time with all that paint on them! Had some construction debris behind the flap on mine also. They are open now and life is good, likely will never shut them😄 as tough as that was. Used a combination of a flat blade screwdriver and some long curved handle needle nose pliers to get them open.

I just installed a range hood for a friend.. Took a bit longer than I expect and FINALLY I obeyed the rules (3 trips to the hardware). (Been getting by with just two, One by her one by me on the other jobs).
This one will vent, for now, back into the kitchen but it's only 4 screws and a power drill to vent it to the outside (and a vent) if she chooses.
But I'm not modifying the house.. only replacing the old very nasty hood with a nice bright shiny new one. And fixing some bad wiring.

Thanks for the heads up on this! I un-latched mine today, the first time was hard and I found a build up of what looked like wax. After cleaning they unlocked much easier.

Did mine yesterday. Unsnapped easily, and there was lots of debris inside which blew out. This should be on the dealer's PDI checklist and Entegra needs to keep tidier work stations when building these rigs to prevent that.

I finally got mine undone today Took quite awhile getting all the glue or whatever it was around it to finally be able to wedge it open. But, I was bound and determined ... and once it was open, turned on the fan - boy, that sure does blow. For the last year, guess that was just blowing in the back of the unit and back into the coach. Maybe Entegra shouldn't get them closed so tight.

I was lucky, mine opened the first time with the awning hook. Nice that we can leave them unlatched on the Entegra's and they don't flap and bang while going down the road. The Travel Supreme would really let you know your forgot to close the vent.

Ok, we broke one the latches and the other one still has not released yet. Are we suppose to push up and at the same time try to push the top of the latch out? Even the side that the latch broke off of, the vent cover won't open at all, is there still something holding it shut?
Confused and perplexed.

I took a screw driver and went along the bottom of the flap scraping the stuff keeping it closed. Eventually I was able to wedge it open. Mine won't ever close tight with the latches again. I did break one of them in the process. However the flap seems to stay pretty well shut as long as the fan is off. Good luck!
