Horns Blowing

What did i do? I disconnected one of the chassis batteries to clean and service them. just about to fill with distilled water when the air horn started to blow so i figured i needed to get er done and installed it asap but of course the system ran out of air first but the electric horn was still blowing. So i reached under the front pulled the wires off and stopped the horns. finished the first batteries and moved to the next cleaned the corrosion and filled with fluid. But everything back together, buttoned it up. Went into the drivers seat started the motor and yes the air horn blows. What did i do? Any one have this happen and can lend some incite. Thanks.

The only thing that blows a airhorn is the air. This is supplied by the hose and shut off by the solenoid valve. The solenoid valve is open. disconnect the wires and see if it shuts off. If it is still blowing, the solenoid valve is stuck. Take apart and clean. Reassemble and test.

And what is the electric horn doing? You said you disconnected it too because it was still blowing. If you reconnect it too and it is still blowing then its probably not just an air horn solenoid stuck - unless it controls the electric horn too.

You might have created a surge/brown out when disconnecting a battery in parallel or it may just be coincidence and your steering wheel button is stuck or a relay gone bad, etc.

What kind of MH. If it's and Entegra, I believe the horn relay in the the D/S outside electrical compartment. Unplug the relay then plug it back in and see if it will reset.

You may have arced one of the battery cable causing the relay to short out.
