entegra anthem is my dream machine for sure. I agree I have had my AB for 3 years and have drained and refilled the WT maybe 3-4 times and always seems very fresh. Have got odors out of grey tank though and
had to rinse it when siting

As a rule of thumb, I assume the 'water is good for a month' when just sitting.

We almost always boondock, approx every other weekend for 4 to 5 days. We are also on a well, no chlorine. I usually just fill the tank back up before next trip, no draining in between. We usually use most of the water.

After de-winterizing I always run bleach through before the first fill of the season. Not sure it's needed, but I do it.

Chlorinated water should last quite awhile in the tank {months}....I drain every couple of months especially if I feel that water from a previous fill wasnt "top-shelf".....usually drain and treat with bleach solution once a year, maybe twice. Smelly water could be a bad load of water from some where but more likely its the annode rod in your hot water heater---that rod needs to be checked and cleaned yearly, replaced as needed.....

I have never drained tanks in any of my rigs accept to winterize. When we do use our coach, we usually are very low on water when returning home and I just refill it.

Without a drain valve at the very bottom of the fresh water tank, it's a real challenge to drain all the water.

I am hoping to get one installed during my PDI next year.

Curt, I had the same setup on the TS. I opened the drain valve and ran the hose going full blast into the tank at the same time. Shut the hose off, let it drain and the bottom of the tank is pretty well flushed. Might do it a second time if the water has sat for awhile.

In the spring I sanitize with Hydrogen Peroxcide on my first fill up. I leave it in the tank and use that water. Normally about twice a season I will do what Tomtall does, leave the drain valve open when traveling home. I will sanitize at this time. It will get done three times per season.
