Hydraulic fluid reservoir fractured weld

After a recent maintenance service, I noticed that hydraulic fluid was leaking at a steady drip when I got home. I believed that the service tech had for some reason removed the reservoir and not tightened some of the connections, causing the leak. I returned to the service location and they found that the leak was coming from a cracked weld underneath the reservoir. I also learned that there had been a tech bulletin issued by Entegra (or Spartan Chassis) regarding this problem some time ago, but I apparently didn't get the notification somehow. Now I have to have the replacement reservoir and kit installed at my expense. I suppose that I can live with that, but I am wondering how many other 2014 Aspire owners have experienced this failure of the hydraulic reservoir and at what expense.

This is a common problem and a flaw in the build of the coach. Unfortunately it is now out of warranty and not covered by Spartan or Entegra. There is a modification kit sold by Entegra that I have purchased ($200-$300?) in case mine goes out. There are good instructions with it and lots of illustrations so it is a DIY project or two or three hours shop time. The kit includes a new tank and fittings and relocates hoses so there is no more pressure on the bottom of the tank. Hope this helps.

I had the hydraulic reservoir fail on a recent trip to Hilton Head. Had Cummins dealer in Charleston replace the reservoir.
Less than optimal engineering with the filter mount. This is a crack/leak waiting to happen. Was not aware of mod kit to relocate filter. Anyone have pictures of installed unit and part numbers/source?? I will order and install at next filter change.

Thanks for responses. I'm being told by my service location that the kit will be $500-$600 range. Maybe they were talking installed price. This is the place that over filled my engine by 3 gallons of oil, and they have offered to replace my serpentine belt for free in exchange for their mistake.
