Hydraulic pump location

Yesterday when we got back to the coach after being gone all afternoon I noticed a small amount of hydraulic fluid under the coach behind the right front tire. I cleaned it up and so far it hasn't returned. I was wondering if it could have come from the reservoir since it was a hot day and had the jacks retracted.

The reservoir on mine is on the left (D/S) in front of the batteries. If your leak is on the P/S I would check the lines going into the jack. Hopefully the spot was when someone else parked there.

Nope, the leak was coming from my coach, it was wet under the removable cover under the bay compartment. I have appointment at Beaver Coach tomorrow

Are you sure it was hydraulic fluid?
Could it have been condensate water from the dash A/C?

Sorry Roger, I am not sure where that would be. removable cover under the bay compartment. At least Beaver is one of the best. We are not far from you, Newport OR heading to ID.

Was the fluid red or clear colored? Red is antifreeze. Clear and slimy is the hydraulic fluid.

Gee I'm thoroughly confused now. The fluid was red kind of like Final Charge but why would there be Final Charge under front wheel?

Chuck, if you look under the first bay compartment behind PS front wheel there is a cover held by 4 screws ...fluid was leaking from there.

I think that the Cornerstone has the hydraulic reservoir on the passenger side. And I think that they use automatic transmission fluid so the spot and the colour match for hydraulic fluid leak. Condensation from the a/C would be further forward in front of the steps.

I need a Cornerstone so I can learn that stuff.

I can believe that. The hydro fluid for the power steering and cooling fan is clear. I have never had a leak of the Jack system, but I think I recall it was red. As you said the cooling system is red also. It would be quite easy to have a loose fitting or cap not tightened causing that drip in the front right. On my Anthem you have to remove a plastic panel to work on the pump. Maybe the same with the Cornerstone.

On my 45K the pump is behind the plastic panel cover in the first bay behind the PS front wheel,

The hydraulic reservoir overflowing would explain leak because it hasn't leaked but one time. I'm at Beaver Coaches right now getting it checked.

It was the reservoir cap that was leaking. So all is well.
