Nothing special. I downloaded the app from Google Play and it asks for your engine serial number and then it displays "DATAPLATE", "FAULT CODE", "PARTS CATALOG" and "SETTINGS".

Maybe try to update the app after installation.

These are new terms to me. What is the difference between an ISX-605HP and an IX? Or an ISL450HP and an L9?

Similar to different year model coaches getting improvements as they come out, they are the current versions of their older siblings. The ISL series is now L, and the ISX series is now X.

Cummins made some changes to their motors and the DPF system. ISL9 is the old moniker and L9 is the new just as ISX15 is the old and IX15 is the new.

Crazy, won't even show on my phone, only "open" after downloading which doesn't work. Uninstalled, reinstalled still doesn't show. I'll just have to take your screen shot, thanks.

Figured out the confusion....this is where it gets crazy. Drop the ISX off of the serial number and it comes up that it is an IX 605. Guess today is my day for "state of confusion".

LOL. Glad you have the 605. But if you are still upset about it, I will gladly trade my L9 with you.

Thanks Ted, I really don't care one way or the other, it was ordering filters and belts that I was concerned about. 5 HP I can use up with the beer I carry.

Chuck

The Spartan nameplate on my coach also says something different from what it is, I guess. My engine serial number is 80034241 and shows on the nameplate as Model ISX, K3 chassis, Gross HP = 605 @ 1800 rpm, Mfg date 2/28/2018

Seems to me that Spartan changed their terminology in the middle of the stream.

Gary, thanks for clearing up my "state of confusion." When I called Cummins Ocala to check for engine updates he asked what engine. I told him the ID tag said ISX and the year coach. He said, "what!?, you'll need to bring iti in. That is where the confusion started. If he would have asked for the engine number, like Ted pulled up, it may not have gone any further.

Ted
They also changed the head design so the motor wouldn't eat the valves that was common on the ISX 15.

Chuck, what you're seeing appears to be nothing more than a clerical error on Spartan's part, and it looks as if it's been going on for quite some time.

Below is a photo of the Spartan data plate (actually a sticker, but let's go with data plate) on our 2018 Cornerstone, which I can assure you has an X15 605 HP engine. As you can see, the data plate indicates the chassis was completed in July 2017 and it shows the horsepower rating of the engine as 605. The clerical error is that the engine model is listed ISX when in fact it should be X15.

I have little to no doubt this error came about because whoever is responsible for creating the data plates simply pulls up the last one and modifies it as needed to create the next one. Whoever was doing that obviously made the change to the horsepower rating when the rating changed from 600 to 605, but overlooked the need to change the engine model from ISX to X15.

When we get home from our current trip I'll stop by NIRVC's Phoenix facility and eyeball the data plate on a 2020 Cornerstone to see if the error has been corrected.

Thanks for that clarification Larry. I have all of my ID plates in my phone so everything is there all the time at a glance. You can understand my confusion as I am getting ready to order spare belts, etc and see that my engine ID's as an ISX. I sometimes really wonder about Spartan. I won't even go into front ends.
From the ID plate I called Cummins Ocala to check on updates. I gave him the engine ID # and he went HUH!? You'll have to bring it in, and that was the reason for the post.
