I thought the 19's were to have the new IX Engines?

Called Cummins the other day to check if any update were required on my engine. Looking up the serial # it begins with ISX. Oh well, I don't think it's anything I can get changed on my AIR.
My paper work shows a 6/18 build date. A call to Ocala Cummins would not give me if updates are required, I will need to stop. and have a computer connected. Perfect, their overnight parking is great.

It looks like I won't be blowing anybody's doors off with a 605 and I will be guzzling DEF along with the others.

Was the 19s going to change engine. Don't know if the engine have changed but the last new truck I purchased they said the engine won't open up to full potential for several thousand miles, I think about 50,000. MH may. be different, as Cummins when you have updates done they hold it down, once it opens up you will see a difference.

I'm not worried about it, it is what it is. Just letting others know that not all 19's were shipped with the new engine. I was going to order spare filters and belts before the trip, good thing I looked, I might have been carry a box of the wrong size spares.
What caught my eye is everything engine wise was backwards of the 20 Cornerstone video. If it helps other fine, if not, that's OK. I hope someone will check and post if the filters and belts are the same if they have an IX, It's to intense for me.

I have the ISX600, friends 2019 Cornerstone at least has the K3 605 sticker on the back.

We just got back from a 3,000 trip together. We both used about the same fuel and DEF

I'll check, I was just going by the engine series number that I have in my phone taken off the ID tag which starts with ISX. I don't know which would be correct, sticker or engine serial number. Build sheet shows Chassis KXE if that means anything. Looking at the ID tag it does show 605 HP so I guess I am confused with the engine ID numbering.

Chuck,

Here is what I pulled from the Cummins QuickServe Mobile app using your engine serial number. Do you already have this info?

I did not, thank you! I guess my post is totally wrong...sure is confusing with an ISX serial number. I am not use to researching model number further. I guess Cummins had some number they needed to use up.

Chuck, I'm sure, or at least I hope you caught my attempt at humor. On a serious note, I too believed that all of the '19 MY would have the new L9 (ISL9) / X (ISX) engines. It really is a shame if you got one of the old chassis on your '19. I saw several references to ISL on our engine, but I checked and double-checked, and am pretty sure that we do have the L9. One of the easiest determining points on the ISL9/L9 would be to look at the DEF system to see if you have a single module (L9), or dual components (ISL9), but I don't know if that equally applies to the ISX/X.

Dewey, knew it was in fun and fun made back. I guess the ISX can mean IX or ISX as was just pointed out. Doesn't make sense to me, but I learned something new thanks to those doing further research. I need to watch the 20 video again on the engine compartment.

Gary, can you check your serial number on the ID tag next to the drivers seat? Yours is earlier than mine, I'll bet it has and ISX serial number also. Confusing, but hopefully others won't be confused when not at the MH and trying to do something off the serial number.

Ted, what did you do to get the app to work? I downloaded it, have put the serial # in 3 different ways and it keeps coming back, invalid.
