I won!

A week ago I won my first race after being in CMC (Camaro Mustang Challenge) for five years. The Texas region is the hardest place to win. We really have some great drivers in this area. A Texas driver has won Nationals every year but one for the last 6 or 7 years. I know this has nothing to do with RV's or Entegra and it may be taken down but we are all kind of friends here. This was the coolest thing that has ever happened to me behind the birth of my two children. I had tears rolling down my cheeks on the cool-down lap. Then of all things I won on Sunday for my second win ever. I'm the oldest one still racing at 55 years young. I did not start racing until I was 50. If you have any interest in motorsports.

I'm in the Black Mustang with the green hood (number 55). The guy taking the video (finished second) is the three time Texas champion. We all have to have no more than 260 H/P and 310 lb. ft. of torque and weigh 3200 lbs. If I pull someone down the straights it's because I got out of the corner faster than they did.

Always fun to watch good tight racing.

Q--didn't you have some sort of special Tshirt on under your fire suit that gave you extra speed and superior driving skill?!

Yes I did. Tom was nice enough to send me a T-shirt for his company that sells parts for racers and I wore it for the first time the day I won this race.
It must have been the shirt.

Congrats!!! Brought back some memories. Never made it to first place but I raced Formula Fords in a prior life. Track folks are almost as nice as Entegra folks. Fun times - great job driving!
