IFS on Aspire?

Does anyone know, or can anyone find out, if they are going to have IFS on the new Aspires? and/or the bigger motors? maybe even as an option if they don't have it standard???

It is my understanding that certain dealers such as Motorhome Specialist and RVOne have several Aspire chassis available with IFS. I was told by Buffalo RV (Part of RVOne, RvDirect) that it would be an upcharge of about $5,000 to $7,000. I'm not aware of any plans to make the Aspire an IFS unit.

I think it was just to use up some chassis that Entegra was able to get at a bargain when they went to the 16600 lb front axle on the Anthem. When they are gone, they will not be available as an option. All just my understanding and may get changed for all I know but If I wanted an Aspire with an IFS, I would be getting one while I KNOW that they are available.

Yes, that was my understanding as well - they only had about 20 units. Unfortunately, I will not be able to purchase until end of year - probably January. This will be an all cash purchase and I won't have funds liquid until then. That's why I was hoping they would offer it.

I know I can always bump up to an Anthem, but I LOVE the floors and tile work in the Aspire, and the countertop colors - and I HATE the the little glass tiles in the floors and tile work in the Anthem. I don't like the counter colors as well, AND I want the french door refrig in the Aspire - not the side-by-side in the Anthem. It seems a little extreme to pay an extra $100K and then have to rip out all the tile and counters to get something I enjoy looking at - and at that price I DO expect to like what I see! I love everything about the Aspire, don't need the Anthem - only change would be the IFS and the bigger motor. Plus, if they DO bring back a 40' unit, I am sure it will be only in the Aspire, as the last ones were.

Sigh ... Oh well. I'll just have to see what they bring out this fall. I'll have to compromise somewhere, because after all the questions and research and explored alternatives, I still DEFINITELY want an Entegra!

Kathryn,

My dealer, RVOne, here in Buffalo told me that all of their IFS Aspires are gone also. Unless Entegra adds it as an option, it looks like the Anthem may be the only route available.
