Industries quietest ride?

Having experience with 2012 and 2014 Anthems...now have a 2019 Anthem.
Have to say the 2019 is not the industries "quietest riding motorhome" as advertised. Unlike the 2012 and 2014's this 2019 has so much road noise that no way can we enjoy the radio let alone try to carry on a conversation with the co-pilot. Now, add in a head wind and in go the ear plugs. Dealer did add some foam to firewall area...but did not help. Have not been able to check out a pre-Thor coach to this post-Thor 2019 to see where the differences are in the front insulation. Has anyone had success in "fixing" this issue?

Yes, we had Entegra in Middlebury address this wind noise and it was all from the door. After several adjustments by factory repair it is the quietest coach out there. So have faith it can be resolved.

I agree, to a point. I’ve adjusted our door via the instructions below

How To... - PTL Engineering

And I’ve added insulation to the front top cap and the stairwell where the draw is located. Much quieter than when new. But the coach wasn’t all that bad. We notice most noise when the road conditions are terrible. We find the north east roads to be the worst.

Here is a wind noise problem that many of us found thanks to Bill in FL. At that time Entegra didn't even know what the problem was and it was terrible. The entire post goes into the fix with photos. Hopefully this was not forgotten on your coach. http://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/lots...ml#post2208917

Has nothing to do with pre or post Thor, you have some air leaks to deal with. I’ve had door noise(adjust door), under step noise(forgotten insulation)and window noise(resealed) on different coaches. The good news is, it’s always fixable, but it does take some patience cause just finding it can sometimes take some time!

Majority of noise seems to be coming from under floor and from dash area in front of the co-pilot's seat.

No obvious window seal air leaks.
But, there is wind and road noise from under stair well. the entry door is hard to completely close, but when we hear wind noise from door area, we stop and slam door tight...no wind noise.
Wind noise seems to come in through the dash area.

We had one coach that had a lot of wind noise in the step well. Turned out Entegra forgot to seal between the rear of the steps and the generator well. Took a patient tech at National Indoor and lots of test drives to,resolve the issue.

My 14 anthem is quiet as a mouse .. the wife and I just randomly comment on this every time we’re just starting out on our trips... disappointing to hear that maybe that’s now not the case.
Personally that’s been one of Entegras strongest points in my opinion.. I hope yours and others are isolated issues..
Good luck in getting it the way you know it should be.. wind noise and road noises can be really hard to remedy..

I can't complain about noise in our 2019 Aspire.

We traded a Tiffin Allegro Bus 45LP for our Entegra and both of us noticed how much quieter the Entegra was. And we thought our Tiffin was quiet.

That is just what the missing foam under the stairs and the square tubes having air gaps caused.

There is also square tube at the bottom of the door frame, visible from under the coach behind the dash area. This was open on mine, the wind whistled and traveled up the door frame acting as a speaker. I sprayed a complete can of foam in that opening. All it takes is one small area that someone forget to foam and it sounds like a freight train inside the coach. Boy have I been there, done that! I think the 14's had a shortage of foam and that was an Entegra built coach. My Thor built is much quieter and has foam everywhere.

The photo post I attached, shows that area. If you are have a service person doing the work, show him the photos. Most, include Entegra knew nothing about it as it is hidden.

Wind noise seems to come in through the dash area.
We chased down a wind noise under the dash for a few years. Remove the small drawer and look inside where the large bundle of wires comes up through the floor above the generator. This area is often poorly sealed.
