My first mh (Monaco;owned 10 yrs.), was insured with Good Sam, switched to Progressive, back to Good Sam. Two years ago switched to Allied. There coverage is excellent; including total replacement cost first 5 years. I have my homeowners, two cars, and our new Entegra with Allied. There coverage and overall premium rate was the best I found. I shop for coverage every two years. I must say our homeowners and auto coverage helped in a lower for premium for the coach. I'm very happy with their CS.. For what is worth..

I have suggested before, and I remain convinced that if you go to an independent agent and let them do the shopping, I think you have the best chance at a good rate. The company Rvone works with has been very good by me, and Progressive, Good Sams, and Geico were never the lowest.

That said, it is going to depend on where, driving record, accident record, and credit rating.

I'm with Allied now, w/1000 red, glass and awning coverage. as well as full time (SD residency). Cost was a little over $2K.

I insured my 2014 thru Triumph Insurance $1169.00 per year .....insured for $320k with diminishing deductible of 25 percent per year if no claims, therefore 5th year zero deductible, I carry 2500.00 deductible & 100.00 ded on the windshield, have used this company several years ( now thus far I have had no claims)

I switched from USAA/Progressive to BlueSky. USAA went up SUBSTANTIALLY. BlueSky gave the same coverage as USAA for 1/3 the cost. Checked reviews for BS and didn't find anything bad, just your typical moaners that wanted solid gold coverage at YUGO prices.

We had progressive for about three years , they then doubled the cost so we shopped again. Our 13 Anthem is now with AARP (Hartford). For $1229 per year.

I have talked and/or emailed 5 companies and talked to 8 agents in the last 2 days. I talked to 3 agents with one organization who gave me 3 different quotes. The lowest premium is from a company that I had not previously heard of and has mixed reviews across the internet but spoken well of in IRV2. All. It one returned me a written quote in less than a day, the one exception said they need 2-3 weeks "but that should work because my current insurance doesn't expire for another month."

Only one company seemed truly knowledgeable about RVs, the rest were just information gatherers and form completers.

I am not necessarily going with the lowest premium, I just have to figure out which organization offers the best value.

We went with Progressive last year for our Anthem. Probably because we had good service and reasonable premiums with them on our Tiffin. I just got a renewal notice and the premium went up over $900 - zero claims! Apparently their RV program in AZ had a rate increase - so says my independent agent. He shopped around for me and we are moving to Allied at almost a grand less than Progressive.

Now if we could shop around for license plate registrations - approx $4,400 in AZ.

Say What!?!? Please tell me the secret. I am getting much higher quotes because I live in a "hurricane zone".

Vance, please let me know what you come up with for a good quote as I am also shopping. Many of the good quotes others have received are some of the higher ones for my area because of the "hurricane zone". Progressive from my independent agent was $2,700.

Just got off the phone with my ins agency. $990./ yr with $1000 deductible with full glass no deduct. They will also change to comp when parked, either in our building or here in Fl. That can save $300 / yr. ins co is Auto Owners. Have had them for years, great company. Keep their rates low and they pay claims without any problem. Saved us over $4000 a year over Liberty Mutual for house, cars, etc. annually.

We also started with progressive. We have a older coach, the first year was 900, the second year was 1100. We went fulltime, called AARP, $550 per year. Fulltime- living in coverage. We added our tow car, total was $1139 for the year.

AARP and Hartford.

There is one of the advantages on not living in a hurricane zone. I can't even get $990 a year coverage on my $25,000 pickup.
