Interesting Sights on the road
I saw this last Saturday on my drive from Houston to Middlebury. I was somewhere near Salem, IL. and had to get around this thing in high winds.
The boat is a large RIB with 4 300 HP Evinrudes, an enclosed house, and a radar you’d expect to see on a large ship. This contraption was being pulled by a lifted Ram dually who couldn’t see around the boat.
This thing was probably a foot wider than the lane width. The guide tubes at the rear are angled and make for tight passing.
Post your unusual sightings,
-Matt

Not exactly a "Bubba goes fishin'" row boat, is it?

Looks like he should have a wide load permit and markings.

Driver seems to be hugging the rightside of his lane........staying within his lane
Divided hwy so passing shouldn't have been THAT big of an issue
Seen a lot worst out there.

I don't see any side reflectors.
AC that cabin and it would go nice on my boat lift and never to see the highway again.

He was actually weaving around quite a bit and his rig was wider than the lane.
Look at the guide poles and where the elbows are at the bottom. There was room to pass only when he slid to the right as in the picture.

Might fit one more engine on there for just enough horse power...

Strange Sights
Followed this rig for about 40 miles at 25 mph westbound on I-80 west of the Great Salt Lake.
I guess for a pit mine somewhere.
Slow going.

Maybe his weaving was do to light tongue weight with those four motors hanging over the rear.

Those RHIB's must be lots of fun:
It looks like they're all smiling!
Looks like it's got air conditioning, too!
Take care,
Stu

You would be showing your pearly whites too if you had a .50 caliber on the front of your Anthem!

Only the Guv a mint has boats like that and each motor can consume 18 gallons per hour at cruise. Those things make our coaches look frugal.
