Irma refugees ATTENTION
Need a place to escape to, no place to go? NIRVC has generously offered to invite all those fleeing Irma that need a place to travel to their new Lawrenceville, Georgia location at
1350 Hurricane Shoals Rd NE *| * Lawrenceville, GA *| *30043*
Phone: 770.979.4051
Cordinates: 33.989392, -83.948397
They have a limited number of 50 amp electric and a dump station with potable water and a huge lot to host a lot of RV's to dry camp. Sorry, no reservations, first come first served but no cost either!
I tried to post a map with a pin drop but could not get it to post, just call and they can send you a pin drop map and give you good directions.
Good luck to all and prayers Irma will veer out to sea and leave Florida alone.

Irma refugees ATTENTION
I saw where Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton GA (~25-miles south of Atlanta) is also allowing evacuee camping.

During Hurricane Matthew last October several of us used the fairgrounds in Perry GA. Lots of space for the dogs. Just an option in case NIRVC fills up or you don't want to travel that far north. I expected NIRVC to extend this invitation, we really love having such a great dealer to take care of our MH needs.

The National News and Weather Channel are not being truthful. They are showing videos of I-75 being a parking lot. We are streaming the local news from Ft. Myers and they are showing I-75 open. The Highway patrol just put up a web site to give current road conditions of evacuation routes. Don't believe the National Media, they are finding one bottle neck and report the entire Interstate is that way.

Um... err...
So John, about the path the hurricane is expected to take...
I'm just going to assume that you know what you're doing.

If you do choose to wait to decide, I'd go ahead and fuel up NOW so that isn't a problem.
Just saying from experience gained from my two hurricane evacuations (Rita/Ike).

Judging from what I saw when I was out for lunch today, and what my wife heard at work, it's coming up on 'too late' to fuel up.
There were LONG lines at the service stations that I drove by on the way to work.
One of my wife's co-workers said he had to go to four stations to get gas, the first three were out.
Rumor has it that's it worse a bit south of us (we're in Jacksonville), and probably even worse as you go farther south.
I was out at 1am this morning to top off the tank in the RV, there were cars at every pump with constant in and out, but no lines. I have to assume that much traffic is not normal at that time of day.
